"Calm down man what happened?!"
Alexa had buried her head in the pillow when she heard the downstairs back door slam. He must be leaving. Well, that was just fine with her. She didn't want to see him anyways, athough she really did.
And Mike had obviously not been able to calm him down. Maybe it was better that Ivan was leaving for a bit, so he wouldn't hurt the boys downstairs either. She knew that if he got mad enough, Ivan just might.
She peeked up from a pillow when she heard someone creeping up the stairs. "Uh, do you want me to take you home?"
Alexa sniffled, scrubbed at her tear-red eyes, and shook her head. She was to her feet in a manner of minutes. "No, I'll walk." She didn't want to burden Mike or Jason with her tears, feeling like she had already been an annoyance to Ivan, but she also just wanted to be alone. The second slam of the night was from the front door when Alexa walked out.

Mike had tried to stop Alexa from leaving but it was no use. She had rushed out and slammed the door just as Ivan did moments before. He jogged down the stairs and went into the back to let Ivan know what had just happened.
"What do you mean she just left?" Ivan exhaled, letting the smoke from his last drag escape his lungs. He flicked the cigarette over the brick wall and made his way around the house and left through the gate. He caught a quick glance of Alexa as she hurried down the sidewalk. "Hey!" he called out to her.
He knew he could have just suddenly appear in front of her and block her way but he decided to jog after her. "Wait." He scanned the street looking for any unfamiliar cars driving by as he caught up to her. He curled his fingers around her wrist and pulled her back towards him. "Where are you going?" He tried to keep a calm tone thought he was still angry. He wanted to yell at her for even thinking about walking home.

Alexa didn't want to see him again. A lie. She could less if he did get his ass hauled away to jail. A lie. It would be funny. Not a lie. When she heard Ivan's heavy footfalls thudding behind her, her heart accelerated and so did her steps, but he quickly caught up with her.
"Hey!"
'Don't look back Lexi,' she told herself. She didn't want to get lost in his blue eyes again. She didn't want to apologize and become friends again, or whatever they were. More lies. But she just kept on walking.
"Where are you going?"
Alexa could hear the struggle in his voice. At least he was trying, one part of her argued while the other kept on bringing up all the crap that had happened. "Home," she merely said, not even giving him a backwards glance. Just let him try and stop her.

The fact that she didn't look back frustrated him. No. It hurt him. He hated seeing her like this. He could tell by the tone of her voice that she had been crying or was just really upset with him.
He let go of her wrist and followed after her, looking over his neighbors' houses now and then to make sure no one had been outside or peering through their windows. He was sure that they had all seen him on the news and would turn him in in an instant if they spotted him. The thought only put more stress on Ivan. It was his own fault though. There was no one else to blame.
"Alexa, wait." He grabbed onto her again but this time by her hand. He pulled her back and spun her around so that she was facing him. His worry filled eyes fell down to her face as a frown crossed his lips. "I'm sorry I really am. If you want I'll take you home in Mike's car. I just don't want you walking home."
The truth was, he didn't want her to leave. Not now, not ever. He wanted to tell her how he felt but he assumed that she hated him for the things that he put her through. He gently released her hand, hoping that she would take his offer for a ride home or decide to stay with him.

"Alexa, wait."
Alexa was stopped in her tracks once more as Ivan pulled on her hand against instead of her wrist. No matter what that she would deny it, his cold hand felt good in hers. Almost right.
"I'm sorry I really am. If you want I'll take you home in Mike's car. I just don't want you walking home."
Alexa would be damned if she couldn't be stubborn. "No, I want to walk," she growled as she spun around, brown orbs raging with fire. Deep in her stomach, something swirled like betrayal, making her sick.
She stared at him for a few seconds before dropping her angry gaze to melt something on the ground like she had heat ray vision. Why did he come back? "Why did you come back?" she whispered, still staring at the ground when she asked this.

He pulled her closer to him, searching her face with his eyes. He pressed himself against her as he wrapped an arm around her waist, letting his free arm hang at his side. He was confused by her question. Did she not want him to come back? What did she want him to do?
"Why do you continue to act like you don't want me around?" he threw back at her. He didn't know how to answer his question so he came up with one of his own. He spoke in a low voice, almost in a whisper.
Without giving her a chance to answer, he leaned forward and placed his lips against hers. He brought his hand that rested at his side up and placed it gently under her chin. He didn't want to be mad at her anymore and he didn't want her mad at him.

Suddenly, the pebble she was trying to move mentally was blocked by the Ivan's shirt when she was pulled close. In one of her ditzy moments, she didn't exactly know what was going on, but she didn't struggle when she figured out.
"Why do you continue to act like you don't want me around?"
Alexa didn't bother to answer for a while, but remained with her head pressed against his chest. "I'm confused Ivan. I care about you, but..." she trailed off. 'You left when we most needed you. Like my parents,' she thought.
"....I don't know," she was about to finish but her lips were crushed against his. Instead of breaking it off automatically, she let it linger, although it might cause future hurt later on. When they finally parted, she shook her head to clear her thoughts. Casting him a strange look, she took a step back. "Why do youwant me around?"

When she stepped back, Ivan pulled her back against him aggressively. He didn't mean to but he still had anger built up inside of him from earlier. He looked down at her, confused but at the same time, irritated. How could she not know why he wanted her around? Did he not make it obvious enough?
"Why do you think Alexa?" He didn't smile nor frown. Just kept a straight face as he awaited her answer. Should have known she didn't feel the same way. he told himself before slipping his arm from her waist. "Forget it..."
He turned on his heel after pulling away from her and started back towards the house. "If you want to go home, I'm going to give you a ride." He shoved his hands into his pockets. The corner of his lip twitched in annoyance. He was hurt but didn't want to show it. Instead he replaced it with anger.

"Why do you think Alexa?"
Alexa bit her lip and winced. Wrapping her arms around her belly, she tried to keep herself together. He was angry again and she had caused it. Again. She was tired of being a burden.
"Forget it..."
"No!" she cried and ran towards him. Alexa latched onto his back, arms wrapped around his waist. "Please don't leave..." she whispered. Please don't leave like before. Like my parents. Like my friends.
Alexa didn't know how long she held onto him like that, but she did. She didn't want to let go or for him to let go, but what if he did? Those trust issues were coming back. But she she still didn't let go.

Ivan immediately stopped, feeling her warm arms engulf him as she latched onto his waist. God, it felt good to be held like that. He found it rather cute but he was still angry. Not only at her but at himself. He gently rested his hands onto hers, his eyes falling toward the ground.
"What is it that you want from me Alexa?" She was sending him all kinds of mixed signals. First she seemed caring when she had washed his burn, then she began questioning him coming back, and now she didn't want him to go. He couldn't blame her for not wanting to be with him after the police had come to the house. She had a right to be mad at him for just running off and leaving her to deal with everything.
Ivan held his breath, keeping his as fixed on the grass underneath him as he thought. His eyes moved over to the blood soaked shirt that covered his forearm. Until then, he had forgotten he even had it there. He dismissed the thought and turned his head a bit to look back at Alexa. "You're confusing me..."

"What is it that you want from me Alexa?"
The question broke the mortal teen's heart, but then she remembered that she had basically asked the same question. Karma really was a bitch. Her tongue slid across her front teeth, a habit similar to Ivan's fang-licking.
"You," she said in a normal voice, albeit shaky. How did you tell a vampire that had been around longer than her that she liked him? Maybe even more than liked him. Cared for him a lot. it was definitely hard, not knowing what to expect.
"You're confusing me..."
Alexa flashed him a bright smile. "That's my job," she said. Her sarcastic personality was coming back out despite the hard night they had had. Her grin fell away to reveal a thoughtful side-smile. "Hey, random thought, but do you wanna come to my house?" She really wanted to freshen up if they were going to continue hanging out.

Ivan could feel her heart thumping against his back. He could feel it slow then quicken it's pace a bit as she answered him with a "You." Me? What does she want with me? He was still left confused. Why would she care about someone like him? Someone who did nothing but put her in danger.
He remained silent until she commented about how it was her job to confuse him. He just smiled crookedly at her and pulled her arms apart so that he could pull away from her. He let go of one hand and started back towards the house, keeping a hand over hers. He didn't feel comfortable just standing outside where anyone could see him.
"Hey, random thought, but do you wanna come to my house?"
Another mixed signal. Ivan assumed that she was going to invite him over then would probably question why he went with her in the first place. Oh well, her house was a lot safer than staying at his. "Sure..." he led her through the front door of the house and finally released his hold on her hand. "I'll ask Mike to take us." He debated whether he should pack some clothes or not or just leave everything but his money behind.

He didn't say anything when she said she wanted him. Alexa frowned a bit, but quickly replaced it with a slight grin when he grabbed her hand. They were obviously going back to his house for a few moments.
"Sure..."
Was Ivan not sure? Alexa was pretty much over the whole police ordeal and him getting mad. She just wanted things to be the same between them when they had first gotten to his house and hung out. Maybe without him getting hurt twice and she couldn't help but feeling responsible for all of it, but she just wanted to hang out.
"I'll ask Mike to take us."
Alexa nodded. Okay, so he had accepted. Maybe when they got back to her house, he would relax, but first things were first. She would have to shower. With his powerful nose, she was surprised he wasn't scared away.

Ivan jogged up the stairs as he called for Mike and made his way into his bedroom. He decided it would be a good idea to bring a few extra clothes since he knew the cops were more than likely to come back to this house. "Mike!!" he yelled out as he pushed his room door open, going straight to his closet.
He threw the door open and grabbed a large duffel bag he kept tucked away on the top shelf. He threw in a couple shirts, a few pairs of jeans, clean boxers and socks then moved over to the drawer that had been filled with money. "Might as well take all of it." he told himself and began shoveling the cash into his bag.
Once packed he zipped up the bag and jogged out into the hallway running into Mike. "You don't have to yell asshole. What is it?" Ivan just scowled at him and made his way back downstairs. "Can you take me and Alexa to her house? I'll give you money or whatever and no I don't know where she lives to ask her."

"Mike!!"
Alexa wanted to cover her ears when he yelled. For a vampire, Ivan was actually pretty loud. She heard his voice trail off when he disappeared up stairs in search for his friends. There was some rustling around in his bedroom upstairs and she was starting to get worried when Ivan finally came back downstairs.
"You don't have to yell asshole. What is it?"
Alexa rolled her eyes and plopped down on the couch. She eyed Ivan's duffel bag, quirked an eyebrow, but said nothing about it. He was welcome to come and stay if he wanted to. It would probably be safer for him.
"I live up in the mountains," she said when Mike looked over to her for an answer. "I can show you the way." She wondered how they would react seeing the models home. It was pretty far out there, but not exacly hard to say. Surrounded by plenty of old farm land, she had it to herself, but she never got lonely since she usually wasn't home enough to actually get lonely.
