It was still so surreal. Being...engaged. Getting married. Picking, planning, choosing, emotions running high. It was all happening to her. And her mother said she never would. It just sucked she couldn't have grandchildren. The whole, dead sperm and dead eggs thing. Disappointing to an extreme turn. If only they had both lived a little longer. She brushed those remorsed thoughts away from her mind, and focused on the more positive.
She was getting married!
Well not yet. Soon though. Aaina wanted it as soon as possible. Hell. She'd get married next week if she could. Vegas? No, that was cheap and whorish. Which she was not. In fact, she was one of the most classy girls left. And those numbers were dropping like time bombs left and right.
Still seated in her chair when he kissed her. It was like the first one all over again. Dangerously beautiful. She reacted like she always did. Slow, like she didn't know. Then her response was full of energy, full of romance. Full of her heart. Full of a fiery passion.
Something that didn't come around her block often.
When he called for a check she stood, her smile wide and brilliant. People still stared at her yes, still stared at them. Stared at the happily engaged couple.
She was getting married!
Her hand in his felt just so right. So..purposeful. Like now, her heart meant something to someone. Her existence wouldn't be spent for eternity alone. She had found her other half. Found the reason to live. Being a vampire wouldn't be as bad as every one of their kind sought it out to be. It was now eternal bliss.
Like it should be.
"Yeah, I would totally love that." She said, lacing his fingers with hers.
Eloping, was it called? She bent her head into the crook of his arm, and smelled him in. Not in a creepy way. Like a sigh, but she was breathing him in. Breathing his essence. His being.
Her fiance. Her husband.

His face turned a light red, a sign of blushing. From him? Yes, oh yes. It probably wasn’t the first time that she had done that to him, but it was somewhat surprising and, he wasn’t ‘prepared’, so to speak. He led her out the front of the restaurant, still keeping her as close as possible to him. He wasn’t ready to let her go yet, call it creeper-ish, but he just got engaged to her. Was that an alright excuse? He hoped so.
He stopped a few feet from the curb and placed his arm across her back, and his hand on her hip. More of a natural looking posture? Maybe, he didn’t really care. He felt on top of the world right now. He bent down, once again, and pressed his lips against hers. He released, and started walking down the opposing direction of the restaurant, hoping to scope out an alleyway somewhere, hopefully filled with people, acting like ignorant beings. Did he hate humans? Not necessarily. They provided his with nourishment, so was there really a reason to hate them?
They passed a few more buildings, seeing some alleyways with no one in them. He didn’t know if she had any specific morals for when she.. Drank. For instance, he didn’t like the screamers. They just annoyed the living hell out of him. Their endless eardrum busting. Out of tune, bloodcurdling shrieks. They were repulsive to have to be near. Especially when your ears were just a few inches away from their source of torture.
They finally stumbled upon an alleyway with some people in it. Aiden led the way, keeping her a few feet behind him. Yes, he knew that she was fully capable of defending herself, but he felt the need to protect her if anything would happen. He was her fiancé, after all. Some of the people scattered away, after seeing him enter their ‘hide out’ to do drugs and such. Yet another thing that was pointless for someone to do. He snuck up on a pair of friends, smoking a joint behind a dumpster. They hadn’t heard him, but he saw them.
He grabbed both of them by the collars of their shirts and hoisted them up in mid air, lifting them back over the dumpster, and setting them back down on the pavement. He slammed one of them into the brick wall, somewhat claiming his prize. Would he get violent when he thirst? Yes, he did. He hoped to god that Aaina wouldn’t take it the wrong way. But, he hadn’t learned full control over himself, just yet. He held the other one back, about an arms length away from her, watching him squirm to get away. “Are you still hungry?”

Fucking A she was married. The surreal truth was, she was no longer single. No longer..no longer a booty call! She smiled at this, licking her lips just a little, to unchap them from the cold. She looked at the ring over and over again. It was so beautiful. So magical. So amazing in every single way. How could anyone ever be as lucky as she was? Hell. The money she had put away would pay for more than a nice wedding. It'd pay for around five nice weddings. And that's how it was going to be. Aiden was such a sweetheart, a real man. A man who kneeled at her feet, and did whatever she needed doing. But he hopefully had a stern foot as well. Aaina knew he did.
Hence the reason they made it this far.
Almost from polar opposites as well. Once they were in the alleyway, Aaina just waited patiently. Arms crossed at the front, smiling innocently and sweetly. Like she wasn't about to kill one of these people. Like she wasn't going to take another life out of this world. She watched Aiden kill, and turned to her meal. Faux concern crossed her face, as she kneeled down to him. "Are you ok? Did the mean man hurt you?" Cooed from her lips, she placed her hands on his neck. Pretending to check for injuries. Instead, her hands were placed at delicate angles.
Dangerous angles.
"Oh no. I see a little cut here. Let me clean it up for you.."She snapped his neck clear through and through. "Oops. I guess I should be more gentle." She giggled like a little child, and bit into his delicate skin.
Breaking it like plastic..
She sucked quietly, tasting the fine sweet desert to top off this evening. A proposal. A nice meal. Two actually. She removed her lips, coated with blood. She licked her lips, dropping the man to the floor, wiping at the corners of her lips. She took a breath in, and licked the rest of the blood off her lips. "No, no really. I'm full." A true statement. Always as a human and a vampire, she had the stomach the size of a pea. She smiled at Aiden, lovingly. "Where to next?"

He jumped into his frenzy, faster than he had expected to. He grabbed the mans collar with both hands, “Now, if you know what’s good for you, you won’t scream.” He doubted that the man knew anything that Aiden was talking about. Seeing that he was obviously high, he probably thought he was on another trip again. He shook his head slightly, people never learned.
He crooked his head back, exposing the proper vein that he took a liking too. He sunk his teeth into his neck, above his pulse. Letting the rhythmic beat drown out the annoying screams that the man possessed. Had he not just told him to shut the fuck up? He gripped tighter, breaking numerous veins in the man’s neck, draining him dry. He heard the beating start to fade and when the blood stopped, he let the body fall to the pavement. He brushed the back of his hand against his mouth, removing any blood that scattered from his mouth.
He picked up the motionless body, on the pavement beside him, and flung him to the back of the alley. He watched as the corpse hit against the brick wall, and fell to the cement. He was somebody else’s problem in the morning. He brushed off his shirt and pants, removing any blood that had dripped onto them as well.
The question had seemed to come out of nowhere. But he knew the answer. He wanted to take her to a place that he used to go to, when he just needed to think. Could you take a taxi there? No, you couldn’t. One of the perks about it, no one knew where it was. He laced his hand with hers, “I have an idea, but you just have to keep up.”
He started down, the same way they were headed before. He knew the way there like the back of his hand. Starting with a walking pace, quickening it with almost every step he took.

Aaina was just finishing at the corners of her mouth, sighing tediously. She was a quick eater, they were like drive throughs for her. Except..without the car. And the puny teenager who never got the order right. Always fucked something up nowadays. She watched Aiden threaten, and smiled a full grin. Her man. Her 'hubby'. Being a big, mean, vampire. Heh. She could be vicious too. But she preferred the lady like approach. Made her seem more innocent the barging up and ripping someone's throat out, or snapping it to kibble. But she watched him with discrete interest. She pouted though, when he told the man not to scream.
The screaming was the best part.
Call her a maschostic vampire. But she enjoyed the painful things in life. She had a high pain tolerance. Beautiful features too. So try and take advantage of her while she was alone on the streets..
the tides would have been turned.
Watching her fiance bite into his neck, made her heart soar. In a maschostic way. Her eyes followed the man, dead now. She combed a hand through her hair, and faux pouted. "And he was so cool too.." She added a short, chopped laugh on.
Then their hands were joined again, and she was content. Out of the musky little alleyway, yay! Back into her life. Her civilaztion. On the streets. Walking past people who's pulse raced through her ears.
Hypnotic and seductive. "So where are we going?" She said, her Australian drawl seeming to smother them like a blanket. Sure as hell felt like it. Most engaged people skipped back to their homes, and made endless sex. Yeah. Most. They obviously were that small percentage.
That sparked a thought in her head. Who's apartment would they move into? She sure as hell didn't want to move. Didn't want to give up her chic and beautiful apartment, for one packed with men. Ugh. It was disgusting and demeaning.
Testostrone alert!
She laughed to herself, and rested her head on his should, squeezing his hand softly. A love like this was built to last. They had to be extremely honest. She still wondered where they were going. Some place of his? Fine eyebrows raised, and she followed him, keeping fine pace.

He kept his pace, quickening with each step. He wasn’t really in that big of a rush, just getting there would take time. Some time that he didn’t have, obviously. They reached the bottom of the hill that held the ‘place’. “Oh, somewhere. Where I went, when I fell in love with you.” He attempted to trail the last part, but then again, he failed miserably. He kept her close by his side, while still trailing up the hill. It was a long walk, but then again, he wasn’t really walking, and it wouldn’t really be that long. The night of their first ‘meeting’ flashed back in his mind. How they met, what they did after, everything about it. The thought of when he kicked that stone onto her shoe, flashed back into his mind as well. He laughed slightly, and kept a grin on his face. She was probably really pissed at him for it, then and maybe now? He didn’t know, all he knew is that he was in love with her now and that was good enough for him. They finally reached the top of the hill and he led her to the edge of it, being careful where he stepped. He looked out over the city, seeing the view for the first time in a couple of months. It was hard to get a view like this, but then again, if there was a will, then there was a way. He placed his hand back on her hip, the same way he did earlier that evening, and pulled her closer to his side. Yes, this really was the place where he fell in love with her. She was probably wondering why, which didn’t surprise him. He came up here to think, a lot of times, about big things. Like his job, his living situation, and yes, Aaina. He smiled again, and said one of the most cheesiest things possible, “I’m sorry I kicked that stone onto your shoe.” Word Count: 339 Listened To: Colbie Calliat. And?: Ramblinggss.

Did he know how hard it was to pretty much run in heels? Yes, she was a fast runner, but not in heels. She felt like she was skipping to keep pace with his long strides. She didn't have short legs, she had medium sized legs. One of the lucky girls who got to wear regular sized jeans. Her cheeks flushed, when they were so close to each other. "Your taking me to where you fell in love?" She actually stopped moving, and stood there, complete and utter adoration for the man holding her hand.
They continued walking, and Aaina had to take her heels off so she could walk normally. As she did so, she looked at her heels. The night they had met. She was minding her business, walking with her eyes on the stores, as usual. Then a small pebble or stone hit her foot. Usually she would have been quite upset, but when she Aiden's face, all was silent. The events that followed that greeting, was her responsibility.
Finally they arrived. She was left breathless at the site. It was so beautiful, such a marvelous, and breathtaking view. She should shoot here. No. That'd be violating Aiden's spot. She would never do anything to hurt him, or taking something away from him that he loved and held dearly. She had no idea that this place existed. It was blindingly beautiful. Like Aiden, himself.
She smiled softly, wrapping an arm around his waist. "Don't ever be sorry for doing that. We wouldn't have met then." She peered up at him, blue hues twinkling. She kissed his shoulder, lightly. "I will never, forget how we met. It's probably one of the weirdest ways..but the most beautiful way." She smiled and rested her head on his shoulder, examining the view. Perfection really did exist.
The landscape. And the couple viewing it. She really did have someone to spend eternity with. Nothing meant more to her than that.

He smiled, keeping her close beside him. The view was remarkable, he was just glad that he got to show it to her. The love of his life. He bent down slightly, and pressed his lips against hers. Only this time, he didn’t pull away, right away. He lingered there, feeling the electricity flow through his body. His ultimate being. He didn’t want to loose her. He knew it would take a lot to do something like that, but who knew, maybe something minor, would put their whole relationship in jeopardy.
He finally pulled away, letting his eyes settle back onto the city below them. He sighed lightly, letting the atmosphere settle into his veins. Maybe true love did exist after all. He hoped so. He looked down at her, admiring how beautiful she really was. Yes, he told her that she was beautiful all the time, but he meant every single one he said. She wasn’t just beautiful on the outside. Her blonde hair, her nice figure. No, she was a beautiful person as well. Everything about her made him want to smile all of the time. Even though they were getting married, he thought that if he told her that, she would think he was a creeper, or a goon. But, if he really had to tell her, he would put it in his vows.
That sparked a thought in his mind. What was he going to write for his vows. Let alone, what was he going to do for the wedding? He didn’t want to invite any of his ‘friends’, they would embarrass the hell out of him in front of her. That was all that he needed right now. He would have to fix that then, make it a goal to meet at least one new person to invite. Even if he didn’t, it wouldn’t be that big of a deal, to him anyways. All he knew was that he loved her, and he wanted to be with her, forever.
“So, this is what I wanted to show you. What do you want to do?”

Lips pressed to lips was static. Opposites attracting was shocking. This, was magic. She smiled beneath the kiss, when he didn't instantly pull away. And then..it started to rain. Aaina didn't gasp and run the other direction like most people would have, she kept the kissed locked, pulling away when only he did. Even then, her cheeks still felt flushed, and her bloodstream running like a track star. She felt his eyes on her, and didn't look up. Mainly because she wanted his eyes to sweep her, and not catch him off guard by doing it. She also knew she blew him away every time they met, or went on a date.
He did the exact same thing to her. With his extremely pale skin, those alluring eyes that peered into your soul, and the half smirk he usually put on. Not laughing, but not entirely serious either. His hair was cute too. The way it swept to the side, and how he sometimes needed to flip it off. The way he smelled too, not just his scent. And the way he protected her, by just putting his arm around her. It was so loving. Something most guys wouldn't do, unless it was a life or death situation. Aiden got protective over a waiter looking at her.
It was amazing.
"Well. Since you showed me where you fell in love..I'm going to take you where I fell in love with you." She smiled up at him, taking his hand, leading him back up the hill. They walked out of the place entirely, back on the streets. She walked much slower now, not having to strain her ankles.
"I'm taking you somewhere completely original.." She said it with a little tone of sarcasm, but it was true. How many people fell in love where she did? Exactly, not that many people. She stopped at a crosswalk, and suddenly there they were. At the steps of her apartment. She walked up the steps, Aiden trailing behind.
Twisting her doorknob, and switching a light on, she waited for Aiden to step through the threshold, and closed the door. Maybe he thought she was leading him to her bed, but that was shallow. She did lead him up the stairs though, to someplace not even he knew existed.
Her studio.
This was where Vogue got everything they needed put together. They'd send it to her, and she'd fix up photos, fix up designs, and color schemes. It was a dimly lit room, with no windows at all. She turned around to Aiden, and spread her arms wide. "This is where I fell in love with you."

He trailed behind, considering places that she would’ve. Many came to mind, but both of them were unique, so it could really be anywhere. He took semi-long strides, keeping perfect pace. It wasn’t really until now, that he realized how many steps of hers, equaled to one stride of his. He really did [/d] have long limbs. Long arms. Long legs. It creeped him out sometimes, but it was the way he was, he couldn’t get it changed now.
He followed her to her apartment, up the front stairs and through the door. He stepped in and realized that it was almost how he remembered it to be. The door closed behind him and the memory of the night they met flashed back in his head again. That really had to stop happening. It wasn’t that he didn’t like remembering about it, it was just that this was the future now, and he wanted to concentrate on the future of them . Not the past.
He continued up the stairs and into another room. A room he hadn’t seen before. He wasn’t so surprised that he didn’t know about it, he’d only been to her apartment once, maybe twice. And they did, well, what they weren’t doing right now. He looked around, the walls, the ceiling, everything. She fell in love with him here. That alone made him honor it. Kind of cheesy, but it was true.
He looked at everything, keeping his head tilted up slightly. “Your studio?” A guess. Well, not really a guess, more like a statement. He knew it was most likely the place where she got some of her most important work done. No Windows, Isolated, No distractions. It made sense.
He smiled, pushing some of his hair out of his face. He wanted to ask how a girl like her, could fall in love with a guy like him , but some things were better off as a thought, and not actual words.

She almost in fact, tripped over a collecting pile of Vogue magazines, beside her work table. She tried to hide it too. Weren't vampires supposed to be like, graceful? Yeah, she was still accident prone. Probably more so than the others. She then went to put a hand on the table, but a trail of silk sat there, and she almost fell to that too. She bit her lip, and pushed the silk back. Sure Aiden had seen it, she laughed a little bit. "This is my clumsy area too.." She didn't feel nervous though. Almost at home. She spent more time up here then she did in her bed.
A reason because her bedroom had windows. And she didn't have dark enough shades.
“Your studio?” She wasn't sure if it was a question or a statement. So she nodded. "Yeah, I was supposed to be working," She looked at an unfinished photo collection. "But I was thinking about you instead.." She ran a hand through her blond hair. She walked around her table, and propped herself up on the table, slipping her big, square rimmed glasses on. Aaina made an odd face at him. "Yes..I wear these things.." She laughed. But became serious in a rather quick few seconds.
She raised her index finger at him, motioning for him to come hither. When he did so, she kissed him. First, a butterfly kiss on each corner of his lip. "Did I ever tell you how much I love you?" She whispered, brushing her lips against his. And also smell the smoking he'd been doing along the way. It took her a while to swallow it, and not grimace at the thought. Smoking. She'd give his friends a mortal beat down, demanding why they let him, later. It didn't affect him, she knew that. But it was..weird.
She pushed the thoughts out of her head, and pressed her lips against his once more. With a kiss that would have rendered him speechless. She pulled away, a little to early for her, but she collapsed, laughing against his chest, her knees brushing his thighs.

A smile exploded onto his face when her lips met his. The static returning, after being settled down for a few minutes. He knew that he could never be fully ‘relaxed’ around her. He just didn’t want to make himself look like a total goon in front of her. He probably did that already, but that was then, and this was now. He felt her pull away, and her knees against his thighs. He slightly rubbed his lips together, not fully prepared for the action.
She didn’t look that bad in the glasses, really. He thought that they accented her face, perfectly. Unlike some people, otherwise known as himself, and how they looked in glasses. He only wore them when he had to do work on a computer, or paperwork. Which was beginning to get more and more frequent than it used to be. He placed his left hand on her cheek gently, “You look amazing, either way.” He kissed her forehead, hoping it wasn’t to much of a cliché.
He placed his arms around her, folding his hands on her lower back. Thoughts entered and zoomed out of his mind in a matter of seconds. All of them pertaining to the wedding, or Aaina. Like they did before he left his apartment, about two hours ago. Most of them being questions that he was asking himself, yes, he did that a lot. Especially when he had a lot to think about. But he didn’t know why they were attacking his subconscious now. He was with her at this exact moment, there was nothing to really think about, that he couldn’t ask her. He sighed at himself, he even confused himself sometimes.
Aiden raised a hand and removed her glasses, setting them on the back edge of the table. He pressed his lips against hers, yet again lingering the motion. He released a while after, but kept his face at the same distance from hers. “No, I don’t know how much you love me. But, I do know that you are my entire world. Nothing less.

Love was such a dangerous game. Putting your feet in hot water. You never knew what the outcome was going to be. It was all worth the wait, the past pains, the struggles, and the hills you'd have to overcome together. Honesty. Eyes lingered past Aiden's face, on a poster of a harlequin setting in the background. It was a set up. And not just to be taken by a photographer either. People who couldn't find happiness with their spouse, gave up so easily. It was pitiful. Pitiful that they didn't know what love was. “You look amazing, either way.” His hands on her face made her blush, and tender eyes close.
His hands moving on her back, gave her the signal to lean in on him. Perfection. The wedding. She'd start planning and calling as soon as this settled in. It'd be difficult, because who would wait till night to have a wedding? An indoor wedding was out of the question. During the rain, where no sun would be presentable? Then she could really get kissed in the rain. So surreal. Happening so quickly, she was only twenty four. And she was getting married. She couldn't stop moving against him. She'd wanted to preserve him so much. Kiss him so tenderly. A looming sensation filled her. She wanted to listen to Johnny Cash. But she'd stay here a little longer, trapped in a cocoon that neither time nor space was involved. It was beautiful.
“No, I don’t know how much you love me. But, I do know that you are my entire world. Nothing less. " Warm feelings whipped through her, warming her. "I love you more than anything else in the world..." She whispered, ducking her head, and wrapping her arms around him.
Her glasses now gone, she smiled. Such a man. Such a husband. She made no move to move though, afraid to break the cocoon before it was fully ready to break apart. Create a bonded couple that no one could tear or separate. No one could tear the wings off of the butterfly.

Her arms around him, his arms around her. It made him feel, ecstatic. Like he never wanted to let go, didn’t want to let her out of his arm’s reach. Numerous thoughts ran through his mind at once, taking the effort to skin them apart from one another, would be almost impossible. Would he move in with her? Of course he would, he would never, in his life, let her move in with ….. Them. Two reasons, One: They were pigs. End of sentence. They would leave all of their shit around, left for HIM to pick up. And, Two: She just shouldn’t be subjected to that. Let alone, any woman, yet women still decided to have sex with them, and other such things. It was repulsive the way they treated women, the way they treated any living thing, for that matter.
He shifted his position, an awkward one for standing, to bad he wasn’t staying still. He placed one of his hands on her upper back and one under her legs. Picking her up, literally, from the desk and carrying her in his arms. ’Bridal style.’ Practice? Not really, he just didn’t want to let her go just yet. He led the way toward her main bedroom. Turning off any possible lights that were on in the studio, and closing the door. No, he wasn’t going to sit in a chair. He was walking toward the bed. She probably thought at that point, that he was going to have sex with her. How cliché. Even though, he had to imagine, if he was a girl, and was being carried like that toward a bed, that’s what his plans were.
He sat on the edge of the bed, sliding back slightly, propping his body against the headboard that he remembered vividly. But he remembered it for a different reason than now. He placed her on his lap lightly, placing one hand on her shoulder that was further away from him, and one on his lap beside her. He didn’t think it was awkward, but then again it was more of a personal preference. He looked directly in front of him, remembering practically everything exactly like before. He kissed her forehead lightly, and lingered the motion. He seemed to be doing a lot of that lately. He whispered lightly, almost impossible for even him to hear, “I love you, Aaina.”
