Tormod chuckled, shaking his head. "Mmm. Sounds like such fun." He said, his voice slightly sarcastic. He couldn't imagine ever being tied down like that. "I have a question." He said slowly, putting down the bottle. "How do you manage to have a normal life, with...this?" He tapped his arm, his eyebrows going up significantly. Even here, in a place that was probably safe, Tormod couldn't say it out loud. Too many years of hiding, too many secrets he'd kept over the years.
He absently tapped the bottle, watching the other man across the table. He was geniunely curious; he wondered how he handled it all. The urge to bite something was sometimes nearly overwhelming for Tormod; the change at the moon was irresistable. How did he have normal friends? Normal schedules? It was a window to a completely different life than Tormod had ever lived.

Landon took a minute to understand, effects of the drink he'd been taking, he shrugged, "sometimes even I don't know. To be honest, i'm not the most social one of a pack you know, so avoiding people isn't difficult. Don't have many friends to be worried about."
He sighed, "have a few people I know, most are.. like us... so they understand fully." He tought of Ali, proof that some of his friends were not. His co-workers were human, though he really did most of his work with them over the phone or via the internet. "I move a lot with work so it's not like... i'm here all the time." He was refering to the full moon when he just couldn't resist the turn. He didn't always turn here, he typically turned when no where near his home. In other countries, and days later he was on a plane, and no one would ever know.
"I admit I occasionally get nervous about staying in one place for too long." Landon said sadly, "people start wondering, watching. I stay somewhere for a few years then pick up and leave." If Landon were honest with himself he had stayed in Paris too long, he should pack, he should leave. He didn't want to though. Paris was home to him now, he needed to find a way to let go, he couldn't have the human life.

Tormod sighed; same old story. He winced; Landon was himself, at a much younger age and without some of the bitterness that had consumed his younger years. Maybe he'll be better off than I was... "It's funny," he mused quietly, "that wolves are the most social animals, always running in packs, but a vast majority of...us...tend to be loners. I don't understand...maybe it's the human condition. I think that humans, of all the animals on the earth, are the single most lonely beings in creation..."
He sighed and lifted his bottle, finishing off his beer. "You going to be ok to make it back to your hotel?" He asked suddenly, noticing the way the other were was blinking. He wasn't going to leave another werewolf to suffer drunkeness alone. He could at least get him back to the hotel.

Landon got off his stool testing his feet he wobbled and grabbed the counter letting out a hearty laugh, "should be fine, made it home in worse shape than this." Of course there were nights that he didn't make it home, there were nights he let his intoxication screw with his mind, there was a night he ended up in a alleyway with a dead girl and a chunk out of his neck. He didn't think he'd had that much to drink, but it seemed that since he didn't drink much anymore he'd become a bit of a lightweight. This disappointed him slightly.
He staggered under his own weight, he looked at his laptop, he really didn't want to drop that thing. He didn't want to bother Tormod, and he was pretty sure he could make it back to his hotel... pretty sure.

Tormod chuckled, shaking his head. "Let me help you." he said, standing. He was much more sure on his feet than the other man. Carefully, he picked up the laptop, gingerly tucking it into his arm. "I'll be careful, I promise."
He glanced at the tender and she came over, laughing at them. Paying both of their bills, he tossed her a merry wink before nudging the younger man with his shoulder. "Don't just stand there gaping...let's get you back to your hotel."
He had to laugh at himself; since when had he gotten so damn nice? But he was, and he genuinely liked the other man, and he didn't want to hear that he'd gotten himself into trouble. So he'd help him to his hotel room, tuck him in, and wander back off to his flea-motel. He was kind of tired anyway, and a good night's sleep sounded like a good idea.

Landon chuckled, "of course, of course," he said happily as he stepped out into the late night air. Dark clouds hung in the sky threatening rain, hiding both stars and moon. Landon wasn't even fully aware what phase the moon was in, in his current state of absolute intoxication.
He staggared slightly looking left, then right, which way was the hotel? He was typically pretty good with directions he laughed, he wished he was just closer to home. Home sounded nice.
Right That was right, right was the correct way to the hotel, in fact it wasn't even that far from the pub he'd wandered into. The crappy hotel he didn't like much at all, the one with the stiff bed that made his back crack when he sat up the next morning. But a bed. That sounded nice, sleep of the dreaded intoxication. "I'm real sorry about this," Landon said leading the way the best he could in his current state, "I haven't drank much since.. well since I became what I am." Landon stated happy Tormod was carrying his Laptop, Landon was having a hard enough time corrinating his feet to step forward much less carrying his expensive work laptop which technically wasn't even his.

Tormod chuckled again; making sure he was firmly in control of the laptop, he followed the stumbling younger man down the street. He glanced at they sky; he could feel the moon. It wasn't time yet...shaking his head, he dragged his thoughts from the lunar cycle and kept one eye on Landon and another on their surroundings as they made their way to the hotel.
He had to laugh; by some sheer stroke of convience, they were staying in the same crappy hotel. What are the odds of that...then again, we're both in a pub near our hotel. Guess that makes sense...and I can completely understand why he's giving this such a bad review. This hotel, for lack of a better word, sucks,
"What room are you in, Landon?" he asked, hoping the younger were was sober enough to remember.
