October Thorn walked through the rain, down the dark nearly deserted street she took refuge from the down pour in a pub with a flashing open sign. It flickered and blew as she came through the door but she hardly noticed, she did take notice of the bell above the door, she hated the sound of bells. She took off her scuffed black leather coat and hung it up by the door, before ringing her hair out. Dark brown curls fell nearly straight with the weight of the water.
There was some 80's rock music playing and there were a few teenagers dancing to the music. She sat down at a bar stool and stared out the window, her dark eyes were as stormy as the outdoors.
The bartender, a forty something woman with big blond curls and wrinkles came up to her, "what would you like honey?" October glared at the old woman, and wrinkled her nose in disgust, and waved her away. The woman looked offended but October didn't care, she turned to look at the teenagers, all of them filled with energy. She smirked perhaps she would dance with one, take him to a dark corner and make him wish he'd never been born.
She heard the tinkle of the bell and turned to look at the new comer.

Anna walked through the pub door, and hung her Jacket on the coat hooks. She rubbed her hands together, and looked around. She was exploring Paris as a way to get away from her mentor for a while. He was behid in Louisiana or Hollywood. She'd find him alter though.
Anna wrinkled her npse. The pub smelled of beer and sweat... and vampiress...
She didn't know which one was a vampire yet only for she is a newborn. She looked at a woman with long dark curls, and sat a seat away from her. "One warm Ale please?" she asked to the bartender.
She looked at the woman next to her and smiled. "Hey there." she said almost to cheery for herself. But she wanted to make a few friends before leaving Paris.

October was staring at the dancers, their energy was vibrant to her, she realized that she was hungry. She noticed that the woman beside her spoke. October turned to her, and realized that she was talking to her. "Um, hello." October wasn't exsactly the most social of people, she wanted blood from humans, respect from vampires, and death of all werewolves.
October sniffed the air, she had been so overcome by the blood of the humans that she only now realized that the woman next to her was a vampire. October decided her hunger could wait, she turned on her bar stool, "hello" she said this time more kindly, "it seems that you are like me," while the others in the bar wouldn't know what she meant, she knew the young woman next to her would.

Anna looked confused for a moment, and then was enlightened by the womans scent. Vampire. "Ah, yes... " she whispered, trying to forget. But couldn't really. "Awful three days." she sighed, and then smiled at the woman. Anna was normally shy, but she felt comfortable enough to be her outgoing sarcastic self.
She tried to contain herself around the humans. She wasn't all that stable around them yet, even though she had just fed. But, instead she forced her attention to the woman.
"Anna Salem. Yousefl?" she asked kindly, taking a sip of her beer.

"October Thorn, please call me Thorn though." October replied, she reserved October for those who knew her well and were her friends, as she had a falling out with everyone she knew not so long ago, no one was currently calling her October.
October knew the pain of being a vampire, but she also knew all of it's advantages. "Try seven hundred and three years of it. Don't worry it gets easier. Eventually you even find all the good things, and trust me there are good things." October hadn't spoken to anyone in a while, it was good to talk to another vampire. October looked at the drink that Anna was drinking and frowned, October had lost her taste for everything human centuries ago. She noticed the bartender stairing and October glared, the old woman turned her back and started cleaning glasses.

Anna laughed a little. "There are alrady a few good things of it." she sighed. "The love of my life turned me. And now I get to be with him forever." she smiled, feeling giddy whenever she thought of Poison.
She took another sip of her beer as she noticed Thorn's distaste for it.
"700 years eh? Long time..." she said, and made a face as she got a bitter after taste from her drink.

October growled, "you are the one who wants to live forever."
It took her a moment to realize why she had snapped at the young vampire, then it hit her, Anna was living like October had wanted to. It had taken her four hundred years to find someone, and over three hundred years she had been happy. In one night it had all been ruined, he had been murdered, and she had lost her coven.
"Sorry," October said quietly, she wasn't the greatest at appologies.

Anna was taken aback a little when she snapped.
"Sorry," said Thorn. Anna shook her head.
"Don't be." she smiled lightley. "I shouldn't run my mouth. It's a bad habbit." she laughed,. and made a face again as she sipped her beer.
"I'm sorry for all the inconvienence in your life though..." she whispered.

October waved her hand, "during most of it, you weren't even alive, what happened is in the past, one must always look to the future."
October wasn't like some old vampires she had met, many of them were stuck in old customs, while October had felt like she had been born in the wrong time period. She felt at ease in this century, no stupid poofy dresses, no corsets that cut off all oxygen, no finishing classes. Yes she liked this time period a lot.
"So tell me this Childe, where is the one who gave birth to you," October was wary around new vampires, sometimes the ones who turned them didn't like when you start striking them up in random conversation when they are so young and impressionable. October had learnt that the hard way.

Anna twisted a smile. "Back in the states." she sighed. "He doesn't know I'm in Paris. I just wanted to get away for a while." she said, and shrugged.
Anna loved her mentor alot, but sometimes it was good that they took a break. "He's probably shooting a commercial or something right now. Probably hasn't noticed I'm gone yet." she said and looked down in her mug, afraid to drink the rest.

October shook her head, "you would be surpised," she had only ever made one vampire she was always very aware of her, when she was too far away to sense October worried, but she had long ago lost the one she'd turned. She blocked it from her mind, didn't want to think of it any longer.
October heard the footsteps, or stumbles of a few drunken teens going for the door. She took special intrest on a girl with long red hair who was taking HER coat from the rack, "excuse me a moment."
October's long stride took her over to the coat hook quickly, she smacked the girls hand so hard she heard something snap, she grabbed her coat and hung it back up, "i'm not going anywhere, so neither is my coat." The girls eyes were watery and the male helped her out. Neither had a coat as they entered the rain. October took her seat at the bar, checking to make sure the bartender hadn't seen. "Sorry about that, I just adore that jacket... it's probably decades older than you."
