He shook off the feeling like he was missing something, and he decided to turn on the lights. It was dark, but not enough for him not to see. He knew he wasn’t human, and he didn’t want to give it away, so he turned on the lights. He gazed around the room and understood what she meant. When he was a young kid, he would stand on the cliffs near his house and gaze down at the city at night. And the glass wall reminded him of it entirely.
He smiled. She was different, but in a way, it made her beautiful. He smiled at her, and wanted to reach out… ’WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU FOOL?!’
What was going on? Why did he feel so comfortable around this perfect stranger? It scared him.
He took off his shirt and started to walk towards the shower, closing the door. He sighed. This was going to turn out to be a very very long day.
He stripped down and folded his cloths, placing them on the toilet bowl lid that was closed. He turned on the water, and closed the door to the shower stall. It felt good to have the water hit his body like that. Working out took a lot out of him, especially since his work out ended in a fight, and a walk with an angel that took down every brick of his wall that he laid up.
’STOP! You can’t! You can’t!’
He sighed, and just let the water hit him as he leathered up and got cleaned. He couldn’t help but wonder though, what was it about her that did that to him. Also, what puzzled him even more was the way her eye glowed red and the way she smelled… It wasn’t human… It wasn’t at all…
He turned off the water and wrapped a towel around him, pulling out a brush to fix his hair, a can of deodorant, a bottle of cologne, and the cloths he would be wearing to the party: A plain black tee-shirt that hugged his body, some jeans, and some casual leather black shoes.
’Here is to a day out into the town…’

When the lights were off, she could barely make out his form in the glass. His reflection was just a dark smear that she could ignore while looking at the bright city lights. That had been her plan in the first place. To not have the lights on and not notice him. She was already way to aware of him. Every fiber of her being knew exactly where he was standing, what way he was looking and how he was standing. But then he went and turned the lights on. Probably to try and keep up the human charade.
Now she could see him clearly in the glass. The lights of the city were second to him. He was like a bright shining star right there in the glass. And even though she tried not to, she couldnt help but watch him. Her hand was still on the glass and she swallowed gently as she felt her fingers start to tremble. She was forcefully holding herself back from just pulling him closer and doing something stupid. She was screaming at herself. Loud and clear. But it felt muffled when he stared at him.
When he started to move away from her, she let out a small breath of relief but it was short lived seeing as he took his shirt off. Her eyes widened only slightly and she kept her mouth shut instead of falling down in shock. He really was gorgeous. Every muscle so well defined. You could trace those muscles perfectly with your finger. Or your tongue...Dont go there Ali!! She yelled at herself and then shook her head. She heard the door close, but surprisingly, the door didnt lock. Did he trust her that much or did he just forget to lock it?
Feeling safer now, she glanced back towards the door and bit her lower lip. She could only imagine what he looked like in there. And seeing as she couldnt afford to imagine that she looked back outside briefly and then bit herself on the lip hard enough to draw blood before licking it up. "Get your mind back Ali....Dont loose it..." She whispered so softly that even she couldnt hear herself. With those words in the air she left the glass window and went over to the closet.
She didnt smell or stink seeing as she hadnt worked up enough to even cause a bead of sweat to appear. Her cold skin always kept her at that same freezing cold temperature and hardly anything rose her skin heat enough to make her seem warm and to sweat. So her natural floral scent was still in place and she didnt need to worry about a shower. Rummaging through her clothes she looked for something that would be comfortable to wear. All though in reality, that was all her clothes. Rose used to always get on her case about that.
But the thought of her cousin who was now dead made her stop. She would never hear from Rose again. Never see her and never laugh with her. Never have another dance at a bar with drinks. Her mood was spiraling down quickly and so she pushed Rose away for now and would bring it back up later. She didnt want to be around clothes anymore though so she snatched up a pair of black jeans, a maroon red tank top and her black fedora hat. That would have to do. And of course her converse to complete the outfit.
It didnt take her long to get dressed. In fact, he was still in the shower. She could hear the water running and the droplets hitting the ground. She paused for a moment and tilted her head, looking at the door. Why hadnt he locked it? She was a stranger to him. So of course he shouldnt feel perfectly safe with her. He should feel the need to lock it. And he seemed like a very logical man. Was it even possible that he would forget to lock the door? She doubted that. So what was his intentions?
Coming back from her thoughts though she gasped in surprise when she noticed she was right in front of the door, with her hand on the handle. She hadnt even realized she had done that. She walked backwards from the door slowly and then shook her head, pulling the fedora hat down even more across her eyes and went back over to the glass wall. This man was dangerous for her heart. It wanted him. She could feel it. Hell, her whole body wanted him. There was no denying that fact. If he touched her tonight in any sort of romantic way, she would be done for.
The reality of those words came crashing in and she closed her eyes, leaning her head back against the glass wall. Sliding down to the floor, she pulled her knees to her chest and placed her chin there on the top. She took a few deep breaths and then closed her eyes to pull herself together. But that concentration was snapped when she heard the water turn off. So he was done. He would be out here in a few minutes...What the hell was she going to do? She would have to pretend nothing was going on here. Thats what.

He walked out of the bathroom, with his bag in his hand, all of his stuff was in the bag. He usually just goes home and enjoys some time off, but today was his friend’s birthday, so he was planning on changing at the Gym, but he sort of got caught up in all the excitement talking to Ali. Such a beautiful name for such a beautiful soul… ’HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO FUCKING YELL AT YOU! SNAP OUT OF IT!!!!!!!!!!’
He noticed the door wasn’t locked. SHIT! He forgot to lock it! DAMN! Of all the things to do… This was probably the most stupid thing yet…
He shook his head. What was going on? And how many times is he going to repeat the same questions over and over again till he actually had answers? This was starting to get on his nerves.
“Hey. Sorry for taking so long. I’m read…y…” He noticed her there, body as tight as a knot and stiff as a board… which troubled him cause earlier on she was loose and carefree… not so rigid and stiff… Usually it wasn’t like him to care, but his mind registered her body and noticed the small differences in posture and expression on her face. She seemed a little… worried or scared.
He put the bag down on the ground and sat down on the small chair nearby. “Are you okay? You look tense.”
He waited for her response, wondering what she was going to say. Would she lie to him or tell him the truth. He analyzed her body subtly looking for any hints of lying, like eye to eye contact, shift in weight, hand positions, etc. Maybe he made her uncomfortable. Maybe she wanted him to leave…
Whatever the case maybe, he would be ready for anything…

Her head was still on top of her knees and she was still freaking out. But with each deep breath she took it was calming her down even more. Yes she was having feelings for this man, but she couldnt very well act on them. And who was she kidding? Like he would ever like her. He was just being polite and a gentlemen. And thats what gentlemen did. They were concerned about you and would walk you back to your place. But it didnt mean anything. Not a single thing. And that was the hard truth she needed to swallow and understand.
She heard the doorknob turn before she actually heard his footsteps. She knew he was coming and yet she didnt have enough time to pull herself together. All this vampire reflexes and she didnt have enough damn time. But that was okay. She could pick up damage control. When he stepped out into the room she glanced up and almost wished she hadnt. He really was stunning and that outfit only showed how much more of him she was missing. And how much more of him she couldnt have. That was her sobering thought.
But she smiled at his words and stood up after he sat down in the chair that was by her. At the moment that was a little to close for her comfort. She was also better on her feet. "Im fine. I promise." She told him, not breaking eye contact, knowing he was probably looking for signs that she was lying. At the end of her little sentence she gave him a smile and fell back into her calm routine. Glancing at the clock she turned back to him. "Should we start heading there? Or do we still have time to spare? You said your friend was hosting. Maybe he wants some help setting up?" She asked him and then walked over to the closet once more.
She had almost forgotten a coat. And even though it was Hollywood, it could be a little chilly out there. Not for her of course, but she needed to keep up her human charade. She had walked around way to many times in London with just a tank top on in the middle of winter. Plus, she didnt want Vic to think her strange. It was a vain though but she knew it was true. And she also had her gun in her pocket. With lightening reflexes before he could see what she grabbed she shoved the gun into the back of her jeans. She was out of sight of Vic though and so that was a good thing. There had been time she had slipped up. Even with vampire speed.
Returning back to his side she tilted her head. "Are we ready to go?" She asked him. Hopefully tonight wouldnt be all that bad. She could find Travis, get her job done and then get the hell out of there. And not have to worry about Vic ever again. After tonight, he wouldnt ever see her again and she wouldnt have to worry about this attraction growing stronger then what it already was. It was a win win for them both. Even though he was going to loose his friend tonight. That wasnt a win for either of them.

“I’m fine, I promise.”
She said something, but regardless of how she tried, there were signs of her hiding something from him. Her dilated eyes for one were a dead giveaway. Also her posture was tense, so tense that it made him feel it. He could see it all too well, and he knew it wasn’t something small enough to push it away. Her body was telling him everything he needed to know. It would bother her later on…
"Should we start heading there? Or do we still have time to spare? You said your friend was hosting. Maybe he wants some help setting up?"
”We got time to spare. So take it easy, we are in no hurry.” His house was a little far, but he didn’t think that would be a problem. Travis would understand if they were a little late. He watched her calm herself down and walked to grab a jacket, but it wasn’t fooling him at all. He was worried about her intensely. But why? Why did he care about her so deeply?
"Are we ready to go?"
“If you want. No need to leave so soon.”
He walked towards her and leaned on the wall closest to her, leaning on it. “Besides, I can tell something is on your mind, and I would like to know what it is.”
He then placed a hand on her shoulder and looked her in the eyes. “You can trust me. I’m here for you.”
At that moment, when he touched her, he knew what it was that made him worry about her so much. It was simple and yet complicated at the same time…
Love…
At the touch of her skin, he felt electricity, fire, and the need to keep it going. It was deeper than he could ever expect, and it was something he never wanted to end.
(Note: Sorry it is short...)

Okay so trying to calm herself down was not working out the way she wanted. She could still feel that attraction to him. That fire in her bloodstream that didnt want to go away. And no matter how hard she thought of how wrong it was to like this man when she was with Stephan, it seemed as though her body didnt want to listen. Like her brain took the information she gave it, and then just tossed it aside and rebelled. Her whole body was being a traitor to her right now. All it wanted to do was jump him.
And never in her life had she wanted to jump someone. Not with Stephan, not even with Landon. And she had loved Landon more then Stephan. What was going on here? One look at him and a few minutes by his side and she already wanted to strip him bare of his clothes and push him down on to that bed that was looking might comfy at the current moment. She was appalled with herself. But there really was nothing she could do about it. She needed to stay by his side for now. Once her job was done, she could get the hell out of there and not have to worry about him ever again.
Trying once again to calm herself down she closed her eyes for a brief moment and wondered why he wasnt in a hurry to get there. It was his friends party after all. Why was he so concerned about her anyway? She was just some stranger that he found in a gym that he offered to walk home and then offered to take to a party where his friend was the host. Seeing as there was 'nothing' to do in Hollywood. But he didnt realize she was a vampire that was hired to kill his friend and him if she could.
Oh god. How was she going to pull that one off? She couldnt kill him. She couldnt. Every part of her being was screaming at her that she couldnt do it. Even her mind couldnt wrap around seeing him cold and lifeless. And not the kind that made up vampire traits. The actual death for mortals and werewolves. Why were they so fragile? And why did someone create a vampire just to kill them in this world. Was she meant to kill him? She doubted that. And she knew that part of the assignment would go unfinished. She could never kill him.
Opening her eyes again she turned back around to look at him, coat hanging over her arm and gun in her back pocket being hidden by her shirt. But she sucked in a small breath of air as she noticed he was walking towards her. Oh he was so stupid. Could he not see that she was trying to stay as far away from him for the amount of time she was able to? At a party there would be to much going on for her to really pay attention to him. It would be perfect. But here, there was only him and her. And that wasnt a good thing.
He leaned against the wall next to her and she could almost feel his skin on hers. Feel the heat burning from his skin. Werewolves always had a higher body temperature then mortals. Just like vampires had a much colder one. His skin would feel like fire on hers. But that wasnt the only thing she could feel. She could feel electricity zapping across her nerves and jumping in her bloodstream. The closer he was the worse this attraction for him got. It was like some invisible string was telling her to pull him closer. Do what her body was craving.
But she stayed her ground and just watched him, studying him. He did seem concerned. And he wanted to know what was wrong with her. Apparently, they had time. He wasnt in any rush to get to that party. And just like she couldnt understand her attraction to him, she couldnt understand why he was so concerned about her. He had known her for only a few hours. And here he was asking her to tell him what was wrong. And then, before she could move or blink, the unthinkable, the thing she had been trying to avoid, happened.
“You can trust me. I’m here for you.”
His skin was on hers. It was just a simple touch. Affectionate on his part actually. Trying to be comforting and tell her it was all right. That she could trust him with the burdens of her mind. But his words were lost to her. She could only think about that his hand was on her shoulder and his skin was touching hers. Thats what her body wanted, but not just a hand to a shoulder. It wanted full skin to skin touches. And his skin on hers felt so nice. Warmth spread through her whole system. He was fiery hot against her cold pale skin. And that electricity she felt earlier was at shocking point.
In all reality, she had no clue when she lost control on her calm and control over her body. It was like she was someone else and they took over while she was least expecting it. She stared back at him and then glanced at his hand, her coat falling away from her arm, and then her gaze went back to his eyes. Such beautiful eyes. Green and Blue. Before he could move away from her she moved closer to him and used her hand to gently push him flat against the wall. She searched his face, and her red eyes were even brighter then before. Since they were filling with lust.
"You dont want to know whats going through my mind. You dont even know what I am do you?" She asked him softly. Her voice just barely above a whisper. He would be able to hear her easily. She then leaned closer, almost pressing herself against him and smiled gently. "Vampire is the answer to your question." She told him and then leaned in a bit more and kissed him.

"You don’t want to know what’s going through my mind. You don’t even know what I am, do you?” [/I] He knew what was going on through her mind. The exact same that was going on through his. Confusion, fear, excitement, lust, uncertainty, anticipation, desire… It was all there… in her red eyes… He could see it all… But she was dead on about him not knowing what she was. ”Vampire is the answer to your question."[/I] Wha? That’s not possibl… What was he talking about?! If he is a werewolf, then there surly are vampires in the world. But if that was the case, how did he not run into them for so long… But then again, how could he know if he ran into them and not know if they existed or not.
She took him away from his thoughts by pressing not only body against him… but her lips was also on his, and that somehow stripped him away from his logic and reasoning to the fact before that she was a stranger… and someone that could probably rip his throat out of his body. No… the only thing that was going on through his mind was, ’Her lips are amazingly soft and tender…’ They sent shivers of pleasure and need through him… It wasn’t just that… it was everything about her… Her scent, her touch, her voice… It was everything about her… Never in his life had he ever made met a person with such a profound effect on his mind and heart… it was… frightening and baffling… but at the same time… it was probably the closest thing he would ever get to falling in love… The Passion… The Excitement… The Safety… The Care… The Hope…
He smiled against the kiss and slowly wrapped his arms around her, holding her… He had never done this before… but for some strange reason… it just felt so………………………………………………… Right…
(Again, sorry it is so small)
