Phoenix had been wandering througout the pack house since her and rest of the pack memebers, save three of them, were set loose. She sighed softly as she sat down and pulled out a drawing pad and a pencil from her bag that she usually carried around with her. She loved to write, but she was in the mood for drawing right now. She was a good drawer, just like her father and younger sister. She sighed softly as memories of her life before the vampires had ruined everything for her, coming in and murdering her parents right before her eeys. She shook her head, ridding herself of that mental image.
She then began to draw, her hand steady as it quickly moved across the sketch paper, drawing out her tattoo that her father had given her only hours before he died as a birthday present.

Katra wandered the halls as the pack left through different doors. Even if she had been harsh to James, she didnt want to see him go. But how could he love a vampire? They were nasty creatures and deserved to die. There were no good vampires. But she would stay and fight for the pack. To protect each and every one. Even James.
Speaking of pack though, as she walked she noticed Phoenix. She had never really talked with the girl. She was really new and Katra liked to meet the new members. So she smiled and sat down by the fellow she-wolf. "Hi there. Phoenix right?" She said to the girl and planted her feet on the ground in front of her and leaned on her knees.

Phoenix had known the other lycan was approaching, but she didn't look up incase she was just going to pass on by and think he nosy or something. It had been a long time since Phoenix had been part of a pack, and she wasn't entirely sure she remembered how to handle herself in certain situations politically with the other pack memebers. When the girl spoke, Phoenix looked up and smiled slightly, her green eyes catching the light in the hallway.
"Yes, it's Phoenix. Your name's Katra, right?" She asked, hoping that she wasn't wrong. Usually she was very, very bad with names.
(Wow, this is really short, and really crappy, but it is 3:32 am here, and I've had 5 hours sleep in two days. So right now, this is award winning marterial for me at the moment, lol.)

((Thats fine. My brain isnt really workin either...XD))
Katra smiled and nodded at her fellow pack member. "Yeah. Im Katra." She said. She moved further back though as people started walking up and down the halls. They were just as edgy as she was. She wanted to know what Patrick and Ella and James were talking about. As well as those strangers. She didnt recognize them. But she had a plan already mapped out in her mind.
Everyone knew that she was practically a daughter to Patrick. He had saved her when she was eight and changed her when she was sixteen. She grew up with this pack and her alpha. She would suck up to Patrick and maybe learn a little more. Or maybe she would talk with James. She wanted to apologize to him. She had been harsh. He was her pack brother after all.
But she pushed her thoughts aside and looked at what Phoenix was doing. "What ya drawin?" She asked her. She thought it was really good. She wondered if she was an artist. Katra herself wasnt good at anything really. Jusy...killing. Which wasnt a skill she wanted to be known as good for. But she was.

Phoenix tried to make herself smaller against the wall as more pack memebers passed by her. She wasn't usually like this, hell, she was acting like a damned Omega wolf, which she wa far from. She growled at herself, annoyed. She wasn't entirely comfortable with the pack yet, so she was trying to just feel her way around until she got used to being around so many people. But, she couldn't be antisocial and get to feel more comfortable at the same time, she needed to make friends, and hopefully very few enemies. She had enough of those already without adding in her pack mates as well.
"Katra...did you know who those two guys were? I'm new to the pack, so maybe I just didn't reconize them, but, I usually have a good memory for faces, and I thought that I'd at least seen all the pack members." She wanted to stay away from bringing up the subject of James. These other wolves had ties to him, were friends with him before this incident, and she didnt want to step on any toes because she voiced her opion on what had went on between him and that bloodsucker of a girlfriend he had.
She looked down at her picture and smiled slightly. She'd seen all of the pack memebers in wolf form at least once, and she'd been drawing all the pack in their natural forms. The picture was nearly done, except for some light shading she still needed to add here and there. The picture was a perfect replica of all the pack memebers, all the markings exact. You could look at the picture and tell who was who. "The pack in their true forms." She said, handing over the picture so Katra could take a better look.

Katra could tell that Phoenix was a little uncomfortable. She saw her scoot back and try to be as small as possible. She wanted to reach out and pull the girl into a hug. She was pack and so that meant she fit in anyway. She would maybe hug her later when they were closer. She didnt like seeing any of her pack members so sad and uncomfortable. They were supposed to be a tight knit family. Those threads were pulling loose. She didnt like that.
At Phoenix's question though Katra looked at the far wall. She had seen those two around slightly. Just from her travels. She nodded slightly at her and said, "I somewhat know them. They are the leader and the co-leader of another pack. But they dont mind relationships between vampires and werewolves. I have no clue why they are here though."
She shrugged slightly and then smiled widely at what Phoenix said was the drawing. She handed it over and she took it gently. She looked at the family she had grown up with and the new people coming in. She lightly touched the pictures edges. There was everyone there. Patrick, Ella, Evey, Tillie, Caleb...all of them. She loved it. "Its beautiful. Absolutely beautiful."

Phoenix growled slightly at the thought that some other alpha would just march into their pack house uninvited. In the wild, that would get a wolf killed real quick, trespassing on anothers territory. She had been born a lycan, and was raised by a wolfs law, not humans.
She smiled at Katra, pleased that she liked her work. "If you like, you can have it when I'm done. I have a photgenic memory, and since I've seen all of them in wolf form, I remember what they all look like. I just have to tweek it a bit, and then you can have it. How long have you been in the pack? You seem much more comfortable in pack life than I am." Phoenix said, smiling slightly at her own weakness, her biggest one. She wasn't all that comfortable around crowds, never have been. She had too much of the wolf in her for her to fit in with humans, and she wasn't around her kind much, except her sister, up until recently.

Katra heard Phoenix growl after she mentioned the other leaders. She could almost guess what she was growling at. It wasnt normal that other leaders would come in and talk with the alphas. She didnt like it either. But she wasnt the one running the pack and Patrick wanted to speak with them so thats all that mattered. She would respect his wishes. And he would tell them what was going on in due time.
When Phoenix said she could have the picture her eyes widened. She loved it. She really did and for her to offer it to her was special to Kat. She leaned over and gave the girl a hug. She hoped she didnt mind the hug. She would need to get used to that. Lots of affection happened in a pack. She was used to it so she could give it. But what about Phoenix? "Thank you. I would love it."
She then smiled at her question about how long she was in the pack. "A long time. Since I was eight years old. Patrick saved me after a vampire attacked and killed my family. He brought me here to live and raised me. Im so used to wolf affection it doesnt bother me anymore. At sixteen he changed me. And Im 22 now and Im still here."

Phoenix blinked for a second when Kat hugged her, but she smiled and hugged her back. She wasn't one to be cold and inaffoctionate, she just wasn't the type to show it first. However, once they showed affection towards her, she began to feel a little more at ease. She liked Kat, she seemed to click with her for some reason. She smiled, shaking her head. "No problem, I just have to add some more shading, and then its yours."
Phoenix was shocked for a second about how much they had in common from what Kat just said. "Vampires murdered your family too?" She asked, turning so she could look at the girl better. They were even the same age. "We have a lot in common. They killed my parents infront of me when I was 16. I'm now also 22. Since I was 16 I've taken care of my little sister Annie. She's the only pack I've ever had, until now. And now, I have two. I have my pack here, and then my little pack of two with my sister. She wanted to come join this pack, but I told her I didn't want her involved in this war. Annie doesn't have a mean bone in her body. At least you can tell me if I'm messing up in pack dynamics or something." PHoenix said, laughing quietly.

Katra smiled at Nix. She really got along with this girl. They had a lot in commom that it was almost scary. But that would just make them a tighter pack. The bonds were being shattered at the moment because of the whole James thing. She wasnt sure if the pack would ever be whole again. But she hoped they would. They had been the strongest of the strong and you didnt mess with them. They had nearly doubled in size from the speak of the war. And people became close.
She still remembered that night they went out to the club. Strip pool and shots. What a combination. But it had been a blast but for the life of her she couldnt remember if her and Evey or Caleb and Tillie had won. It didnt really matter. It had all been good fun and it had been a tight game. Such good times. Why did bad always have to come and ruin things. No correction...why did vampires have to come and ruin things?
But she smiled at Nix after she was done talking about her own experiance with vampires. "Most people in the pack have had family killed by a vampire and are out for revenge on the whole race. Like me...Like patrick and Ella and James and Caleb and Tillie and Evey and so on. And as for your sister, she wouldnt make it if she doesnt have a single mean bone in her body. You need that. It helps."
But she shook her head slightly and switched to the other topic she had brought up. "And as for pack dynamics...your doing fine. You already have an ace in the hole befriending me. Im close to Patrick." She said with a small wink. She had learned almost everything from patrick and considered him a father. "Plus...we arent mean like people say...we just dont like vampires. We are the most wonderful people you could meet."

Phoenix shrugged slightly at the comment that she made about her sister and nodded. "She tries. It hurt her more than anything when I had to tell her that mom and dad were dead. She wasn't there, and for that I'm grateful, it would have broken her. She's always been the sweet one, even when we were younger. But she's always tried to hold the same hatred that I have for vampires, but when it comes right down to it, I don't think that she really has it in her to hate them...And I wouldn't want her to. If she was capable of hating anyone, then she wouldn't be the person she is, and I wouldn't change her for anything." Phoenix smiled at the image of her sister smiling at her, always teasing her about her antisocial mood that she put out to everyone.
"I'm hoping that I'll run into at least one of the three that were there that night in this war. If I do...I pitty them, I truely do. If and when I ever see them again, they will be mine to kill. I don't think the pack would begrudge me that small consoltation." Her moss green eyes flashed at the thought, and her hands actually curled into fists, so that she had to force herself to calm down before she broke her pencil.
She laughed slightly, quirking an eyebrow at Kat. "I will have to remember not to make you mad at me then, since you have such pull within this pack." She couldn't help but laugh with Kat, they had so much in common, and Phoenix thought that she would at least have one tight friend in this house.

Kat pulled her knees to her chest and then folded her arms across them and leaned her head down on her arms. She let her tawny hair spill across to the side as she watched and listened to Phoenix. She could she was close to her sister. Thinking about her own sister made her heart ache. Her sister had been the same way. So kind and gentle. Not a mean bone in her body. And she always got into fights because of her little sister. She would stand up for her. Kat was the mean one. The tough one. Was that why she lived? And her sister got taken and changed into a monster?
Kat almost preferred that her sister was dead. She wanted to kill the bastard vampire that had changed her and killed her family in front of her very own eyes. "I understand what you mean. I watched as the vampire killed my family. We were all so helpless." She held back a growl as her own hands curled into fists. She hated vampires so much. With a fiery passion. That was one topic that could get her mad. Very very mad. "And if you found those vampires no one would stop you from killing them. What ever vamps have destroyed our lives, we try to find. And if we find them...we take them out. No one stops you. Because we all want the same thing. Revenge...."
She lifted her head from her knees though and shook her head slightly at her last comment. Revenge was such a sweet thing when it was fulfilled. She knew humans frowned on it. But revenge is an unhuman word because its for the unhuman race. It was made for the werewolves. And that made a smile dance on her lips but she covered up her cruel thoughts by addressing her last comment. "Nah. Dont worry about me. I do have a nasty temper when its fired up...but you really have to stir the embers for that to happen. Unless your a vampire."

Phoenix's head snapped towards Katra, dark blonde hair flying around her face as her moss green eyes grew an even darker shade of green. "You sister was turned into a vampire?" Phoenix was furious on the other wolf's behalf. If the vampires who'd killed her mother and father had turned her sister into one of them...Phoenix would have killed them. But thankfully, that wasn't even possible, concidering that Phoenix was born a lycan, as was her sister... Which was the exact reason for the dry, humorless smile that tugged at her lips, causing her eyes to smolder. "I wasn't helpless, was the thing. I had been a lycan all my life, I could have done...something more than what I did...But one of them knocked me out, and when I woke up, the damage had already been done...My sister had been hiding in the safe house dad had built for us." Her tone of voice was bitter, and a low growl was mixed with her words.
She smiled, trying to lighten the mood. "Let's talk about something else, if we stay on this subject, I'm liable to hit something. Tell me about Patrick, what's he like? I haven't gotten to talk to him much, and the James situation has been out in the open since I came into the pack, so I've only seen him stressed out...What was he like before that?"

Katra nodded at Phoenix's words. "Yeah. The same bastard vampire that changed my sister killed my family. I want to get my hands on him and just..." She trailed off but her hands clenched and seem to jerk slightly like she snapping somebodys neck. She wanted to do that so bad. Not that the bloodsucker would die. But it would disable himf or a while and then she could light the asshole on fire. She carried a lighter with her everywhere. Her fingers smelt like fire and smoke. It was a large contrast to her normal smell.
She didnt really know what her normal smell was. It was always different to everyone. But to herself she thought she smelt like gardenia. Her mother used to spray that smell everywhere and it used to cling to her skin until it never disappeared even days after the smell was gone from the house. She had sprayed the smell as a comforting thing in her room when she was still human. The smell must have stuck when the change was complete.
Kat was happy for the subject change though. She could easily talk about the pack. She could flow into a simple easy chatter and never stop. But she wasnt going to bore her with tiny details she remembered from her years here. She smiled though and chuckled. "Ahhh...Patrick. He has always been a brooder. But he has such a kind heart. He cares about every last one of us. He will put the pack before himself. No matter what the problem is. And before all this drama he was such fun. Before the whispers about the war started he didnt have a care in the world really except killing vampires. And he had time to have fun and go out with the pack. The last fun thing we have done is go to a club. And that was months ago....when the pack was just starting to get to know the new members."

Phoenix found herself wishing that she had been part of the pack before all of this drama occurred...Before James' betrayal of the pack...Before even the war. Things would have been so much simpler back then, back when the pack could just go out whenever they felt like it and hunt down a vampire...Not always having to watch they backs, except with certain covens...Because now, every vampire was after them, when before, it was only a few...Not that any of that mattered to Phoenix. They could all come at her for all she cared...In fact, it was better that way. Would make it easier to find the two males and one female vampire who'd killed her family.
She smiled, hearing the love and admiration that Kat had for Patrick, and she couldn't say that she blamed her. Patrick seemed to truly care about every single one of the pack memebers, whether they were new or they had been here for years. Sure, he had closer ties to some than others, but he cared for them all equally. "It must have been nice, growing up with someone to watch after you. I wish my sister and I could have been so lucky. Maybe then I wouldn't be the bitter biotch that I am now." She said, grinning slightly. She knew what she was to most, and that was bitter, though once they got to know her, and Phoenix let her guard down, she was always fun and doing something crazy to make people laugh. She couldn't stand to see someone she cared about depressed.
