Shaden was leaning on a stool, his legs splayed, his arms wrapped around the backing of the chair. Wearing ripped jeans with hot pink fishnets beneath them and an equally hot pink ripped top over his slim torso, the deranged vampire was humming along with the beat, his denim eyes roving for a potential meal behind his glasses. There were many people here at the club, and each of them had their own chances to be the unlucky pick of the night. Shaden was never very gentle with his meals, his bite wasn’t something any human, no matter how drunk they were, would enjoy it.
He sighed softly and stopped his humming. And stood up from his chair. There was nothing here tonight he really wanted. He left the club, and then started walking around in the streets; maybe someone out here could help him with his over whelming bloodlust. It was a thirst so strong it felt like fire in his dry throat.
Shaden winked at a passing male, who looked away from Shaden at once. He couldn’t help but laugh. Humans were so amusing.
As he walked he started to whistle a song called ‘Goodnight, Sweetheart’ He was in a playful mood, more so tonight then any other night, he didn’t know why nor did he care. Shaden was just out to have some fun. And that, was never good news for anyone.

Amarant had been sitting on a bench for some time, her long black hair falling over her face, hiding it from the world, as she sketched in her sketch book. She was bored, and it was driving her insane. Saphire--the young white wolf Amarant had rasied since she was a pup--sat at her feet, gently biting at her heels. Saphire was bored as well.
Amarant growled, standing up and walking towards her rented apartment. She forced Saphire into the small room and quickly left, locking the door behind her. Saphire was getting on her nerves, the damn wolf was too hyper tonight--for whatever reason. Amarant was not in her usually bubbly mood, she was angry and frustrated, but at what she wasn't certain.
She ran her fingers through her long black hair, her green eyes scanning the area as she walked a couple of blocks towards one of the better clubs in town... But even that didn't interrest her. She was edgy, she needed something, and that something was out of her knowledge, making her frustration grow. She growled, shaking her head in disgust as she turned to walk away from the club entrance.
Before she could even go more than a few feet, a loud whistle caught her attention, having her turn around, facing two big, drunken oafs. Amarant simply raised one pierced eyebrow at them, crossing her arms.
The smaller one--who still towered over her 5'4 height--walked up to her, putting one hand on her shoulder. "Hey there sexy. Wanna have sum fun?" He was drunk, his words slurred, and his body was tipping precariously.
Amarant snarled and pushed the man away, making him land on his drunken ass. She turned and walked away, not in the mood to deal with these morons. But before she could get more than two feet from where she'd left the drunk, someone roughly grabed her by her arm and spun her around. It was the other one, he had greasy black hair and stood a good foot taller than her at least.
"Hey wench, you can't do tha! 'Pologize!"
Amarant smirked at him, taking his wrist in her other hand, wrenching it to one side so that it snapped with a loud 'crack' and the man screamed in pain, releasing her arm. But she wasn't done with him yet. She slammed the toe of her boot into his ribs, making him double over, then began spitting blood from the force of the kick.
"Touch me again, and you'll die." Amarant said, her green eyes cold and emotionless. She normally wasn't like this, but something had her on edge tonight.

Shaden hadn't gone very far when he caught a scent on the slight breeze, and turned around to see a female fighting off two drunks. He crossed his arms over his chest, and watched in silence. Very highly amused.
It was clear even by the smell she wasn't human but that didn't stop Shaden from taking a step toward her. This was an interesting girl, she might very well be his answer for fun. If that was a fight or something else made little difference to him. This was clearly someone Shaden could use for entertainment.
"Well done sweetheart," Shaden said taking another step closer and clapping his hands mockingly, "But really I think you should kill them anyway. It would be such a wast of a kill." He said putting his hands at his sides and looking at the men, and then up to the women, his blue eyes looking her over once quickly behind his dark glasses. Oh he had so many comment for this one but he bit his tongue and waited for either her to reply or try to walk away from him, which if she did that, he had no plans on letting her leave. At least not without a name.

"I may be around vampires a lot," She said, immediately becoming defensive. She'd had too many run ins with vampires who wanted to kill her lately. "But I'm a werewolf. I don't drink blood, so there's no point, other than the fun of it...But we're in the middle of New York, and I don't particuarly feel like having a bunch of mortals breathing down my neck because they saw how I despose of these..." She looked over at the two of them, the smaller one still sitting on his arse, looking confused, while the other one clutched his ribs, still gasping. "Men." She said, the last word coming out disgusted.
She turned back to the vampire, her green eyes flashing slightly as she looked him over. "Werewolves don't kill for necesity, but if you feel like you could use the sustinence, then by all means." She said, motioning one hand towards the two oafs, still in the place she'd left them. Her accent showed that she wasn't from around here, but she doubted that a vampire would be surprised about that...They were known for moving around better than werewolves were...Then again, most werewolves had a pack to stay with, but she was a lone wolf, so she had no problems with moving around a lot
She was torn between simply walking away and the possibilty of actually having something to do... Wether that something be good or bad, she would see how he reacted, first. If he was boring, then it wouldn't even be worth her time.

Shaden’s smile was devilish and slightly reveled his fangs. He shrugged “I’ve already had my fill of blood tonight but still…” He walked up to the one clutching his ribs, pulling out a dagger from behind his back he sliced the mans throat “I cant allow such easy prey to live.” He finished as he licked the blood from the blade and placed it back behind him, and then turning to the other one still on the ground. His movements were slow in comparison to his normal speed for he was walking toward the male. Shaden crouched down so he was almost eye level to the human, and then reached over in one quick movement to take hold of his neck and broke with a loud ‘crack’
He then stood back up, and faced Amarant, then took of his glasses, placing them in his pocket. “So what brings you to New York?”
Shaden had only met maybe one or two werewolves in his travels, so he was slightly interested, but more so he just wanted something to do. Whether or not the wolf would run or not he couldn’t tell but a chase was always fun, though Shaden was smart enough to know the fights with werewolves hardly ever ended well. So he would do his best to keep his anger under control for now, an less of course she said something that really just set him off, it would be okay.
He took a deep breath, taking in the scent of the fresh blood around them, it was course hard to resist but as he had said before, he’d already had more then enough blood tonight.

She watched as the man walked towards the other men and killed them, completely detached. Normally, Amarant may just give a shit, but she wasn't in the mood now. Besides, those humans weren't all together innocent. Maybe if they hadn't tried to grope her just a few moments ago, she may just be a little more sympathetic. It was interresting to watch, however...She couldn't remember the last time she'd seen a vampire turn down a kill. She reached up and pulled a piece of black hair behind her ear, shrugging slightly as she leaned against the brick wall behind her, cocking her head to one side. "I don't have a pack, so I move around a lot. Though honestly, I have no idea why I decided to move here, there's no woods to run in, and there's hardly anything here that interrests me." She thought for a moment of Saphire, left alone in the apartment, before pushing the thought from her head. That little pup could live with a few hours on her own. "By the way, the name's Amarant."

"Lovely to meet you Amarant, I'm Shaden, and believe me I'm about the only thing interesting here." His smile was devilish and showed his white teeth and fangs, "In fact, I was wondering if you might like to play a little game with me?" Asked in an almost innocent voice. He cross ed his arms over his chest and continued to smile at her. Shaden had never played around with a wolf before nor had he ever really been this close so he was of course thinking very hard about what he was saying. Choosing his words carefully. Shaden also found it very interesting to find a lone werewolf like her, the ones he had seen were more then half the time with a pack or at the very least a mate. Thats when he thought about it... she had said she didn't have a pack but what about a mate.
Shaden looked around, "You don't happen to have a mate would you?" He asked, his smile fading slightly as he kept looking around them.

Amarant cocked her head to one side, a curious smile tugging at her lips."Game?" She asked, curious. Perhaps her night wouldn't be a complete waste, and hoepfully she'll actually be able to have some fun. A few loose strands of black hair came down to cover her left eye and half her face.
"What type of game did you have in mind, Shaden?" She didn't think that he'd been around too many of her kind, his body posture, though decievingly relaxed, she could tell was tense, like he was waiting on her to bite him or something. That thought brough another smile to her lips.
She laughed at his question, shaking her head. "No mate for this wolf. Hardly any werewolves will come near me. They tell me that I smell too much like a bloodsucker for them to feel entirely comfortable around me." Her voice was light as she spoke, humor behind it.

Shaden sighed in relief, and then he was in right in front of her and he gently took the loose strands of hair and put them back in place. His body, once tense and ready to run if the need should arise was now visibly more relaxed, and a calm, playful smile was on his lips.
It would seem as if he wasn't going to answer her question about the game because he didn't say anything for awhile and he didn't move away from her. But really he was just thinking, going through the list of ideas he had in his head. Trying to find the right 'game' to play.
"Before we move on to play a game I would like to ask why it is you would smell so like a bloodsucker? Do you really spend that much time around us?" He asked, keeping his voice slightly detached as if he didn't care about the answer but he really was interested.

She blinked when he suddenly appeared infront of her. She had been around vampires all her life, and her eyesight could usually follow their movements if she was paying attention, but she hadn't expected him to move that close to her. She was glad he hadn't decided to hit her, else she would have been on the ground before she even knew what the hell had hit her.
She smiled innocently enough at him, a flash of white from her teeth showing. "I was raised by vampires. This one named Rafael found me when I was about 5 or 6 and took me in, raised me like his own daughter. So, I got used to being around vampires more than I did werewolves, so apparently I still smell like them...It's kept me from being in a bunch of fights with other vampires, because they smelled the scent of other vampires on me, and got curious. I made many friends in the years I spent with my makeshift father. And even more since then. So yes, I do spend a lot of time around you kind." She laughed slightly at his use of the word "bloodsucker." It sounded strange coming from a vampire, normally they would be very, very angry for that terminology when used in reference to other vamppires.

Shaden took a step back, and crossed his arms over his chest. "Well I guess that would explain the smell." He said with a small shrug of his shoulders. That was something he'd never heard before, it made him all the more curious. He smiled and added after she laughed, "I'm guessing you find it amusing to hear me say 'bloodsucker' well, I hardly care about the word. In fact I hardly care about mine own kind let alone what others call us when they think we can't hear them." He said, and sighed softly.
Shaden started walking around her, almost as if looking for the best place for an attack, though that wasn't the case. He just had a real problem staying still for a long time. "You know," He said after a few minutes, standing in front of her again, "Its too bad you weren't turned into a vampire instead. You have the perfect body for one, and you hardly showed any shock or surprise when I first moved closer to you." He shook his head, "Such a shame, and a waste. Prey would have been easy for you." Shaden smiled, showing his fangs slightly, which stood out clear against his light rose coloured lips.

She raised one dark, pierced eyebrow at him for a moment. "Smell? I have a smell?" She asked, beginning to wonder if what the werewolves had been talking about was true. Since she'd grown up with vampires, she never noticed the smell of them on her...She thought that the lycans were just being stupid, but perhaps she did smell far too much like a vampire?
What he said about not caring about his own kind struck her as odd. Werewolves may have been social, but vampires were always around their own kind, one way or another they always had someone around...someone to manipulate, or who was manipulating them. That was interresting.
Amarnat laughed slightly, though there was no humor in it this time... She would have made a better vampire than a werewolf....she'd thought this many times...Too bad that she didn't know who the one who bit her was...or even WHEN she was bitten. She definately had the instincts for a vampire, and the love of the kill. Only she didn't kill for the nourishment, she simply killed for the hell of it most of the time. She rather enjoyed the hunt, hearing her prey's heart begin to race when they realize that no matter how far, or how fast they run, they'll never be able to get away from her...Not when she sets her mind to something. She was nutoriously tenacious when she wanted something...and one way or another, she was going to get it.
"You're not the only one who thinks I would have made a better vampire." She said, though her voice had gone back to the light tone that it had been before.
"And Shaden," She said, taking a slow step closer to him, though makeing a small circle, still giving him enough room to where she was still respecting his space, she knew vampires could be touchy about that sort of thing. "You never did answer my question about what particular type of 'game' you would like to play."

Shaden smirked, she seemed kinda surprised to know that she really did have a smell. He took a deep breath and let it out slowly "Oh yeah sweetheart you have a smell. Everyone does, although some smell better then others." Her smell was driving his mind crazy. Just the mixture of both werewolf and vampire on her was throwing him off. It was slightly irritating.
He put his hands in his pockets when she took a step closer to him. Shaden nodded "Your right I didn't." That devilish smile of his was back as he watched her every movement. "Would you be interested in going to a party and massacre some inspecting humans?" he asked only half joking. It was something he did every once in awhile when he was bored and there wasn't enough people around to mess with. Though he knew it would most likely be fairly easy to get this vampire pissed off at him. Shaden lived for a good fight. And few vampires or werewolves could even come close to killing him.
