At first, Rhoslyn had almost shuddered away from Aiden's arm with a cringe. Almost. It's not just that he was touching her, it's just the feeling the touch in particular. It may take a while for Rhoslyn to get accustomed to physical affections again after her abusive childhood. But, she stills at the comforting warmth that seeps from him and into her skin, and moves a bit closer. It's pretty chilly out here, colder as the sun retreats from the moon. Not to mention that she liked being close to Aiden; it gave her fuzzy feelings that made her face react in a goofy grin. She wipes it off quick enough, not wanting to look entirely stupid.
"The balcony? That will be my bed for tonight. I can just pretend to be-- your extremely large wolf-dog that you keep out on the balcony... I don't know."
Rhoslyn giggled softly, smiling up at him. Her cheeks are rather rosy, a bit wind nipped, and though the air is cold, her eyes are like hot, liquid silver in her happy, in love mood. It's just little differences from her appearance before, small things that make one look different, not necessarily in a bad way, when experiencing love.
"Why don't you sleep on the couch instead? I think it pulls out into a bed, and you won't freeze your butt off that way too."
"Is that it?"
"Yup," Rhoslyn gestures to the hotel. It's a bit of a cheap looking place, but not a poor house at all. The shrubs around the walls need trimming, the brick rain faded. But it looks usable. "Home sweet home."
"It's one of the traits of the wolf that I don't mind that much."
"You can see in the dark?" Rhoslyn gawks up at him, blinking three times in a row. "That's gotta be cool. No running into walls when you wake up in the middle of the night, right?"
Rhoslyn leads him into the hotel, the walls blandly decorated in white, carpet muddy brown. She avoids the elevator. "Broken, hehe," she explains as they start up a flight of stairs.
Room 35 belongs to her, and she opens it quickly, sliding in the key card. It's small; one bedroom, one bathroom, tiny kitchen nook. The living room contains a junky TV and a blue pull out couch, a balcony giving off a wonderful view just past the sliding glass door. Rhoslyn walks in, holding Aiden's hand and sets her lute case in a chair near her. "Well, here we are."

[shadow=gray,left,300]aiden[/shadow] [/color] No muscles tensed, no movements away from him were made, but there was a sense of uncomfortability in the air. In haste, he made to pull his arm back, but after a moment, she moved closer to him. Another good trait of the wolf was the feeling of being safe that emitted from it. The trait lingered on even when he was in his normal form, and seemed to help out a lot.
Rhoslyn had appeared happy before, but there was something new in her expression; a glow to her ashen eyes that had not been there before, just a hint more to her smile. Little things that even a human could notice if they watched closely enough.
"Why don't you sleep on the couch instead? I think it pulls out into a bed, and you won't freeze your butt off that way too."
"All right. I'm sure you don't want animals on your furniture though, so I think I'll be Aiden tonight. So long as you don't mind a twenty-three year old man sleeping on your couch. Not to mention that you hardly know this said werewolf." All of this was said softly, to avoid eavesdroppings of the few passerby left traveling the chilly October roads. Aiden himself did not notice it, but he had a soft, lilting Italian accent that kept the other wanting to continue listening.
"Night-vision is all right, but not that big of a deal. It does take some getting used to, however."
As she commented on the elevator, he smiled, shaking his head. It didn't matter to him. Truthfully, he'd prefer the steps any day. Confined spaces were an avoidance of the wolf.
"Well, here we are."
"Bella, bella," he said, letting some Italian slip into the conversation. A glance at the view outside of the balcony doors gave him a start. There was only a half of a moon now, but shortly, there would be a full one. Torn between leaving her and keeping her safe from him, he decided that she'd have to lock him out on the balcony. His 'inner pup' was growing older; mentally and physically, and would be much larger and much more prone to instinct.
"Looks comfortable," he said, gesturing toward the sofa. Glancing around, he sought a clock of some sort. Not finding one, however, he turned his attention back toward her. She must be feeling awkward here...
"This is better than my apartment," he laughed. Honestly, it was.

Rhoslyn smiled as she replied. "I don't mind you on my couch whatever...uh..form you're in." She didn't know whether to say other-self or whatever when speaking of his wolf or human body, so Rhoslyn just settled for 'form'. She really didn't mind, and she sort of wanted to get used to the 'wolf in him' as well. Though it had only been a day, she loves Aiden. Rhoslyn wants to love the rest of him completely, that meant his wolf form had to be equal to his human form in her eyes. It wouldn't be much of a problem; Rhoslyn adores dogs.
"Bella, bella,"
Rubbing her arm, Rhoslyn laughs quietly. "You think so? Thanks. I think it has it's special little "cheap hotel charm." ". Her expression gets a bit curious. "Are you Italian? I noticed an accent earlier and didn't think to ask until just now."
"Looks comfortable,"
"I hope so," She smiles, gesturing over to it. "Go on, have a seat. Can I get you anything to eat or drink?"
"This is better than my apartment,"
Rhoslyn laughed, triggered by his own; the noise of laughter from him just seemed to make her happy. "Really? Aw, I doubt it."
Sitting on the couch, Rhoslyn folds her arms and smiles. She's very thoughtful, a tiny blush on her cheeks. Thinking. Then she sees Aiden look outside through the glass and how whatever he was seeing him startled him a bit. "What? Something wrong?" She asked, a bit of concern etching on her face.

[shadow=gray,left,300]aiden[/shadow] [/color] "I don't mind you on my couch whatever...uh..form you're in."
Laughing at her desperate grasping for words, he decided to step in. "Call it anything you choose. I still don't know what to call it, let alone you." She didn't mind, but he was sure that he phased in his sleep according to his dreams. Rhoslyn's last glance of him before she resigned to sleep could be of the wolf, and her first of the morning could be of him. It all depended on the emotions of the dream, and how strong they came.
"We've got a little bit of a problem though... The wolf isn't going to fit on the couch, but I'm only a canine then, so it won't matter."
"Are you Italian? I noticed an accent earlier and didn't think to ask until just now."
An accent? That was news to him. "I thought that you were the one with an accent... But now that you mention it, it is me. I was born in Italy in an orphanage, but everyone loved each other then and different families took me in when they could to keep me out of there. Once I was old enough to work, I earned enough money to come here so that I would no longer be a burden. English did not come hard to me, but I could never shake the accent." Quieter than the rest of his words, he said, "We should go back there sometime. I would love to pay them back."
"Go on, have a seat. Can I get you anything to eat or drink?"
Obediently, he sat on the couch. The material was soft, and the seat itself was comfortable. It would make a good bed. Realizing how obedient he seemed, he smiled at her. Laughter was his thing; it was constant, and he could always find something to amuse himself. Must have been the wolf in him.
"A water would be fine, thank you. But I don't need it right now."
She took a seat beside him and questioned him about his troublesome thoughts. "In a few days, less than a week from now, the full moon will be high in the night sky. I won't leave you here without me, but I can't trust my other self around you just yet. I can control it when I choose to phase, but when the moon makes me so, I'm not sure what will happen. The only thing I can think of is for you to lock me out on the balcony. I can't see it harming you, but I will take no chances."
"We'll see how well the aging wolf can behave around a human girl through the glass. If I'm calm, you'll be fine. If not, just leave me outside. I won't hurt you, I promise."

Rhoslyn listened to his story closely, smiling gently as she sinks into the cushions of the couch. "I never would've guessed you were an orphan," She spoke softly, shutting her eyes for a moment before slowly opening them to look at him. "It must have been scary to come to a different country, too. Did you travel here alone?"
Fingering a lock of her hair briefly, she flips it over her shoulder and away from her face. No matter if it was pulled up or not, her thick hair always seemed to be in her way. Reaching out slowly, almost in an unsure way, Rhoslyn reaches out a small pale hand and holds Aiden's. She didn't know why, but she wanted to hold his hand. The feeling of touch was nicer now to her.
"A water would be fine, thank you. But I don't need it right now."
"Tell me when you want it, then." Rhoslyn says with a giggle.

Rhoslyn trusted him completely with her entire being, and nods at his directions. She would do exactly as he asked, hoping that he would be calm. She wasn't so much afraid, then worried. It made her confused that she was worried, but she was. Not for herself, though.
"I know you won't hurt me," Rhoslyn nods on her words. "I trust you in whatever form you're in." Her fingers squeeze his softly before loosening again. With a sigh, she slumps just a tad deeper into the couch; oh, what a day. Probably one of the best of her life, but why is this worry eating on her? Then it dawns on her; she doesn't know what to expect after this day. It's unknown what's bothering her about it, but the future has always made Rhoslyn nervous. The name Augustina was still sending shivers down her spine, but why? Buying garlic tomorrow, she thinks to herself. Lots o' garlic.

[shadow=gray,left,300]aiden[/shadow] [/color] The fact that he had never known his parents didn't faze him, and neither did her reaction. He could not feel for those he had never known.
"I never would've guessed you were an orphan."
No one knew. He had never told anyone. She was the first to ever care enough to listen. She relaxed into the couch, and he mocked her, doing the same. The worn blue sofa was comfortable, no springs sticking out where they could harm someone. Tilting her head back, she closed her eyes.
He was seized with the terrible desire to touch her, but kept himself under control. She seemed to have something against touching others. But, almost as if she had heard him thinking, she opened her eyes, reaching out for his hand. This little gesture assured him, in a way, that he was not the one who had tramatized her. Maybe one day, she would tell him who had.
When she spoke, she took him by surprise. Lost in thought, she suddenly wretched him from them.
"It must have been scary to come to a different country, too. Did you travel here alone?"
"It was scary, especially when I didn't speak English." A smile came to his face as a memory of the flight came up. "You know how the ladies come with the food? The flight attendants? They kept coming by with food and giving me some. I was full, but I didn't know how to tell them. The next stewardess brought a plate of steak or something, and the only thing I knew was "Stop!" "
Pausing to chuckle a little, he ended his little spiel with, "That's what I told her too."
"I know you won't hurt me. I trust you in whatever form you're in."
How can she possibly trust me already? Is she pulling wool over my eyes?
"I'm amazed with your bravery, I must say. Running around with an unstable werewolf with a vampire stalking the both of us takes some guts. You were just plunged into this too. I'm glad you're taking this well. You didn't even know we were real... But there's one problem. You may trust me, Rhoslyn, but I don't trust myself. Not around you."
"Before, it never mattered. I just ran and hid from the world until I was human again. But now, I can't just leave you, so we're going to have to figure this out. I'm pretty sure it'll be fine."
