Alucard already knew that she was going to ask this question. He rubbed his chin a little bit, trying to think up a good answer. He stopped and smiled at her. “What I am, what we are called are vampires, demon, immortal, blood drinking, monsters of the night. That is why I wouldn’t die. Only the sun and fire can end my life. If I let fire near me that is. What is your name girl, and would you like to come with me?” He asked her. It has been a long time, sense he had a apprentice to train.

Lissa stared at him a little shocked. A vampire? Had she heard that right? She was standing in front of a vampire? Someone who drank peoples blood for the fun of it. She almost couldnt believe it. But then again, he hadnt died with all of those shots and the knives. No human being could survive that. So his answer made sense. And he told her how he could die. So he was practically immortal.
She swallowed though and said, "Im Lissa Redd." She used her other last name from her real parents. She always had used that last name. "And if you'll take me with you I will go. I dont want to be a burden." She told him and looked at the ground.

“I’m Alucard Ian. But if you come with me, you will call me Master or Master Alucard, but mostly Master. I might call you Lissa or at other times I will call you girl or little girl. And you have this thing to answer to me: Would you like to become a vampire?” He asked Lissa. Alucard stood up. He heard the boy at the door. He didn’t turn to look. “It isn’t wise to lesson to other people conversations.” He said to Terri.

Lissa listened quietly to what he was saying and her eyes widened when he asked if she wanted to be a vampire. She went through everything he had said. only fire and the sun could kill him. Was that true for all vampires? She would miss the sun but she woud gain something even better then feeling the warmth. She could be stronger and not have to worry about someone hurting her. And Alucard could protect her. She was a little iffy about calling him master but that was a small price to pay for what she would gain.
She was pulled from her thinking when she heard Terri and then Alucard spoke to him. Her eyes widened and she shook her head. "Please. Dont hurt him. Please. Ill become a vampire and call you master. Anything you want. Just dont hurt him." She begged to him.

“I’m not going to hurt him, don’t worry, this boy is fine. I’ll make a fake call to the police so this boy won’t be alone in the blood bath.” Alucard said. He walked over to the to the boy and messed up his hair. He wouldn’t hurt the boy that didn’t attack him. He walked into the kitchen. The phone was over on a counter. He dialed 911. He waited for someone to answer. One ring. A second ring. A women answered. “Yes I heard gun shoots over here I need the police right away.”
He told them a fake story about how the was walking by and heard guns being fired. He hung up and walked over to Lissa and Terri. “The police will be here any minute. Boy, don’t tell them about use, make something up. Lets go girl.” He told Lissa as he started to walk out of the door, but stopped to check to see if Lissa was behind him.

Lissa watched Alucard wearily and then let out a breath she had been holding when he promised he wouldnt hurt Terri. She wouldnt have been able to deal with that if he had. But once he said he would call the police she went over to Terri and pulled him into a hug. She was going to miss him but she didnt want to be in an orphanage again. Terri was almost 18. He would be free soon. She wouldnt. And she didnt want another family like this if she got adopted.
So when Alucard came back she waved goodbye to Terri and then went after Alucard. She noticed him look behind him. Probably to make sure she was following. She noticed he had long strides and she hoped she would be able to keep up. She didn want to get lost in New York City. She smiled weakly at him and then looked down to the floor as she followed behind him.
