"I was born here. But I left...for....reasons." Efren's mind flashed to his family but he shook off the horrible thought and brought his attention back to the present.
"I've been back for almost 40 years now." Efren's voice wavered but he kept a stoic face as to avoid any unwanted questions.
"I went to the states for a period of time. Lived just about everywhere too, including New York. Huge city, a bit overwhelming."

"What do you mean New York was overwhelming? If it weren't for New Yorkers, you'd be *ucked." [ooc: didn't know if we could use vulgar swearing ] She crossed her hands over her chest. "If it weren't for New York, there'd be no stylistic entertainment. All the greatest designers, actors, philosophers live in NY. Don't you dare diss NY in front of me," she snipped.

"Woah. I'm sorry. I just meant that I'm not used to the busy ness. I loved being there for the short time that I was."
Efren had been surprised by the change in mood. It was obvious she loved her home city, what had made her leave?
"I will give New York all the credit for it's culture. Everything about it screams originality." Efren wasn't lying, he'd even gone to a show or two and he must admit that the culture far outweighed Cairo's.

"yeah, well..." her voice trailed off as her temper eased. "And you've got the culture in Cairo right. It's downright dull. I'm sick of sandcastles too."
Pulling out a cigarettes, she asked, "Do you mind?" But before he could reply, she lit it and inhaled a soothing, toxic filling breath. She exhaled slowly, watching the smoke cling to the humid air.

"No of course not." he replied
He couldn't imagine his discomfort would have stopped her from smoking it none the less.
"I'm sorry you haven't found the Vampire culture yet. The most interesting culture is there, in the underground secret lives they lead. You just have to find it. Of course, the museums are dull after one visit, and the pyramids are only cool if you go inside" He smiled at her. That cigarette only made it more impossible to not look at her. He kind of wanted to be the cigarette.

Giselle shrugged her shoulders. "Museums and pyramids are interesting enough. But the mention of the Vampire culture was catching her attention. She was interested who it a consisted of.
Tired of the small talk going nowhere, she finished her ciggy, tossed it on the ground and squished it with her toes. "Unless you have something important to say, I best be off."

Efren wasn't surprised by her bluntness in the slightest. Instead he nodded graciously and said.
"It has been my pleasure to speak with you. And I'll look forward to Saturday."
He was a little sad that their conversation had to end but it was time to get that meat back to the coven.
