"I don't doubt it"
Morgan lead him out in the streets of N.O., suddenly aware of the disheveled dress she'd slept in. It had rained not so long ago, the air was hot and thick and damp as they walked, and the streets gleamed under the multicoloured lights of the city. A good night, jasmine vines gave off a sweet scent and there were frying smells from the houses around them. Morgan amused herself picking out the human sounds of the city as they walked. Far away there was music drifting lazily. Slow, bright jazz.
"This is a good city for vampires, which means not so good for you. We're a bit like tigers. Each section of city can only support so many humans, and that means only so many vampires can live there without detection. We end up spread all over the place, but there are gaps between territories that you can use to get around..."
She wandered with him, stopping to point out the unspoken boundaries of the city around them. She could smell the other night creatures, and humans. And the sweet glorious blood of someone elses kill. It was making her edgy, she tried not to show it. She looked back at Brian.
"Can tell by the scents? Try, this will be hard otherwise."

As Brian followed Morgan he heard the familiar sounds of the city, it was almost exactly like when he last came here 3 years ago....except now he knew the city had vampires, but it was still basically the same city. "So New Orleans isn't just called the most terror filled city in America, it kinda is. And that thing about the city sinking under it's own weight isn't good for the vampire population here, and I bet alot were driven out by Katrina.........most vampires probably wouldn't kill someone, werewolf or not, out in the open just for the sake of killing them. "So I really don't need to worry as long as I am near alot of people in a public place, huh?" Brian in-took the smell of the city. He smelt all the usual stuff he had smelt when he was human, just intensified, alot. Blood, food, people, animals, metal, water, and car exhaust.....plus a bunch of other stuff.

"More or less, but crowds aren't infallible. Depending on how clever they are they might lure you away... this isn't an insult to you, it's a kind of illusion thing. Ruban did it to me a couple of times, very convincing. Better to avoid us in the first place. But yeah, we generally go for quiet areas. Crowds are good. If you do get into a scrape, don't bother with knives or guns or whatever, short of actually dismembering a vampire they'll just heal up again. Fire is your friend, we burn like tissue paper. Oh and sunlight, naturally."
She stopped, watching as a young man tottered past them drunkenly. He was so close she could almost feel the heat of him, and it made her hair stand on end. The smell of his blood and the drink and cigarettes was intoxicating. She turned her head and watched with suddenly cold eyes as he turned into another street.
"Wait here..."

"Of course crows aren't perfect, but they do the best job of helping someone get away from someplace unless they've locked onto your scent, then your probably screw sooner or later. So, fire and sunlight is the only thing that kill a vampire, huh? Well, that's good to know, don't wanna go slicing up a vampire. You know, there is alot of truth in movies, it's surprising really, you'd think a few actors or directors might be one, it's just a guess." Brian saw the drunken man and he made a disgusted face, he always hated the smell of alcohol, now that he could smell it clearer, he hated it more. Brian saw Morgan eyes watch the man and knew she'd probably picked her meal for the night. He leaned up against a wall of a building when she said to stay put. "Don't worry about me, I'll be right here."

((might try to get Ruban or some random in on this, otherwise it could get real boring.))
Morgan looked down at him for a second, hesistant, then nodded once decisively. Her dark eyes gleamed she stalked away around the corner. She moved fast and smoothly as an animal, with her bright hair twisting behind her down the back of her dress. In a second she disappeared from Brian's sight- ahead of her the man swerved drunkenly, still unaware. He was so human it was beautiful. Without wanting to, she hung back for a second just watching him. His fingers were long, they brushed the damp wall of the alley and made a gentle noise. His hair was black and growing out of an expensive haircut. It clung to the back of his neck with sweat. Morgan took a deep breath, filling her throat with the hot scent of human blood. Her eyes closed.
In a couple of steps she was upon him, he struggled clumsily. Cracked lips parted in a yell of fear, cut swiftly short by a brilliant flash of teeth. Morgan cradled his head gently as she drank, supporting his crumpling body as the life went out of it. The man's eyes flickered in a helpless swoon. Then they went dull. She stood there for a second, looking into his lifeless eyes. A pale hand smooth back his rumpled hair, and traced the lines of his tanned face. Carefully she set the corpse on the ground and turned back to where she'd left Brian.

As Brian waited he stared up at the sky, it was a nice night tonight. It was nice to be back here, New Orleans was Brian's favorite city in the world....besides his hometown. Most of his family had come from Louisiana, even his parents, so he was pretty much used to the city by now. When he saw Morgan on her way back he chuckled a bit. "Just for future reference, remind never to tick you off." Brian stared out at the street at some cars rolling along their way. Brian turned his gaze from the streets towards Morgan."Well, what's there to do now?"
