[ooc - eep, sorry it's so long... your replies don't have to be near as long as mine... unless you want to of course but that's up to you. Most of my replies are only about 2-3 paragraphs long depending on my muse level, this one just so happens to be a long entry. Click .:here:. so read up on Skylar and learn what happened to her to bring her to this point. Thanks <3 Skye]

Skylar
wake me up inside, wake me up inside
call my name and save me from the dark;

Skylar’s eyes flickered open, but her throbbing head caused her to wince them shut again. Where was she? It took her a second to remember what had happened... last night? How long had it been since the vampire had chased her into the woods and bit her? She sat up suddenly, fearing the worst. She groaned, and her hand flew to her aching head. Every bone in her body was sore, and she felt cold, empty... Was she dead? She looked around slowly, taking in her surroundings. No one was in sight, but whoever had gotten her out of the woods that night had seemingly left her under a bridge of some sort. She felt so strange...
The constant dripping of water rang in her ears like bombs dropping and she pressed her hands over her ears, squeezing her eyes shut tight. What was wrong with her? She felt the shrill wind hit her damp skin, and she shivered. Glancing down at her hands, she turned them over, examining them. There was something different. They were deathly pale. Swallowing the lump in her throat, she got up and walked slowly over to a puddle of water that formed under the bridge, wincing at every step.
Catching her reflection in the pool of water, she gasped and stumbled back. Her face looked completely drained of color, and her lips almost a tint of blue. Her eyes were dark pools of blackness, and her own gaze sent a chill up her spine. Although she looked different, she was still somehow beautiful. She thought for a moment that she was dreaming, but the sharp pain behind her eyes was only a conformation of how real this was. There was no doubt in her mind now. She was a vampire... but how?
She leaned up against the cold brick of the inside of the bridge, trying to put her racing thoughts together. Who had saved her? Where was she? How could this be? But the most pressing thought was: what now? The pressing need for blood pulsed through her, and suddenly a new instinct told her that she needed to hunt. At first the thought repulsed her, but the thirst was too much to bare, and before she knew what she was doing she was stumbling out from under the bridge and into the darkness of the night, her senses taking over for her.
A lonesome dirt road stood before her, and beyond that were more woods. Glancing around, she decided to venture into the woods in search of something to quench her new-found thirst. Before long her clumsy steps turned into a swift stride she had never knew before. All her senses were heightened, and she found that all sorts of smells were making their way to her nostrils. She did her best to sort them out in the tangle of her mind, and soon she filtered them out til only one was left. A deer. Her eyes caught a subtle movement in the brush, and soon she was easily stalking helpless creature.
Before she knew what was happening, a totally new sensation ran through her and she pounced upon the unexpecting doe. It took her more than a few tries to finally catch the thrashing animal, but she finally did. Holding it a death-lock grip, she sank her new fangs into the firm neck. It was like she was possessed, and something new was taking control of her body. She began to suck, to drink, draining the blood from the animal. Then it was over, and she ‘came to‘, wiping the blood from her chin. The doe’s lifeless body lay limp at her feet and Skylar took a step back in horror at what she had just done. It felt odd, and it was all very new to her. She shuddered as she felt the creature’s warm blood pulsing through her cold body, barely scraping the surface of her thirst.
She stood frozen still, staring with wide eyes that were shifting from a deep black to a dull green, then bright piercing hazel. She whipped around in a blur as her over-sensitive ears picked up on something... but what was it? She sniffed the air, trying to sort out the smell, but she couldn't make it out. "Who's there?" She demanded with a hiss, sounding more fierce then she actually felt. Her own voice startled her, coming across as smooth as honey yet as sharp as a blade. She turned in place, her peircing shifting quickly from one place to another as she waited for the source of the noise to emerge.
