"I've hunted, with like a gun, hell even once with a bow, but I never ate the meat straight off the kill, we usually cut it up, got all the shells out of it, at least all of them we could find, if we were using buckshot that is, had it processed and cleaned, then we would do this thing called cooking......it involved fire, usually a skillet, maybe even some salt and other seasonings......and THEN we would eat it. Raw meat tends to carry anything from diseases to parasites to viruses and a whole bunch of other stuff. And I think the killing by accident might only be with vampires...werewolves don't actually have to eat HUMANS, we can eat regular food correct?"

"Hey, you tell me. It was full moon a few nights ago... how did you feel then?"
She looked at him cooly, her arms folded. The night had gone silent around them since she'd killed the deer, probably other forest creatures had smelled the blood and gone underground. Her black eyes gleamed.
"Why are you out here hiding in the woods anyway, if you can blend in so well?"

"I felt great, except for I was forcefully turned into a creature that went berserk, killed one of my best childhood friends, in fact my FIRST friend, and probably broke a few of the other's bones, THAT is why I'm hiding out in the forest...otherwise I was fine......." Brian crosses his arms and raised an eyebrow indicating he was being sarcastic in most of it.

She looked at him, trying not to feel sorry for this kid who'd done all this while out of his mind. Being a werewolf was worse in some ways than being a vampire, she decided. At least she had never accidentally killed someone she loved. In her kills she was always aware, though couldn't always stop herself. She took a step towards him and put a hand hesitantly on his shoulder. It was warm now, and felt alive.
"Look Brian, there's no need for you to stay out here in the wilderness like the wolf boy. Come to New Orleans with me."

"In a way I am wolf boy." Brian laughed. "I hate to intrude on people." Brian looked around at the trees. Part of him wanted to stay here, in nature. The other part wanted to go back to civilization and at least try to pick up where he left off. "I'll go, I was starting to get sick of nature just a little anyway." Brian laughed a little.

Morgan grinned at him, showing her fangs. She liked this kid, and thought having the wolf-boy around might make things more interesting in the new city. She was glad that he'd decided to come, and she was already sorting out in her mind what to do with him once they got there. Ruban's stance on the werewolf/vampire war was unclear. She'd never heard him talk about hunting weres the way some of the other vampires did, but it was hard to say how he would react. Possibly she'd need to find somewhere else for Brian to stay, and for the moment keep him away from her sire. She shook her head, surprising. Already she was worrying. Better to get there first.
