Three Nights Later
Aubrey watched as Blake slept. The sun had just sank and London's transition to nightfall had just begin. She smiled as she brused the hair from his face. She traced his features slowly. The pain was over. Now he was a vampire. He was her vampire.
She had been running his shop while he was turning. She was not as elegant in the readings as he was, but she caught on quickly an found herself rather enjoying it. Xavier wouldn't have noticed three nights of her absence, after all she had been instructed to go out and play the good little spy.
She didn't think that he would mind that she had turned a human, she didn'y make him a member of the coven. Xavier couls do that himself, if he deemed Blake worthy. If Blake wanted that. She watched himstir in his sleep.
A soft smile crept up in her face. Soon he would be awake. Soon he would be ready to get up and experience the first night in his new life.

Blake woke slowly. He sensed a presence over him. A sweet, calming presence. He knew who it was, but at the same time, it was an unfamiliar connection.
He opened his eyes. His vision was sharp. He thought for a moment that he had died and reincarnated as a cat. Blake flexed his hand. No, he was still human. Not human. Vampire. And he remembered.
First the pain. The undescribable pain. The power surging through him. The sensation of freedom. And... a face. A woman's face... Aubrey.
Blake sat up abruptly. It was Aubrey. She was what he was sensining. He turned, and saw her sitting next to him, watching him. He didn't say her name. He didn't smile. He kissed her, full and through.
He had never felt this way before, not even when he was alive.
He was so... happy.

Aubrey pressed her mouth against his. She brought her hand up and placed it on the back of his head. His happiness seeped out of him and flooded into her. The regret of taking his life was starting to fade. She couldn't believe that his had really made him so happy.
She reluctantly pulled away from his kiss and sighed against him. She cradled his face in her hands. He was going to have to stop doing that. He was already irresistible and addictive as a human, his charms would only boil over ten fold as a vampire.
His warmth spread through her. It made her giggle slightly. This was so different than just having Kade and Shaden connected through her because she made them coven members. Blake was hers. He was her Childe. She could feel his thoughts and his emotions. It was invigorating. She pulled him to her. "How do you feel love?"
She smiled against him. She knew he felt wonderful, but still. She needed him to tell her exactly what was going on with him. She would have to take him to feed soon, she wanted to make sure that he was all in-tacked in every way.
She pushed back his auburn hair and kissed his nose. She trailed kisses over his face. "Are you hungry?" She whispered the words against his cheek.

Aubrey broke away from Blake. His body felt different. It WAS different. He could move gracefully. He was more powerful. He'd have to watch that... lest his new found prowess got out of hand. But he doubted that; he wasn't one to flaunt his strength.
"I feel.... great." Blake had a hard time comprehending that he actually did feel this way.
Blake examined himself. His skin was paler than before, and his nails were claws. He got up, which brought waves of dizziness to his brain. He staggered a little, but kept moving to his bathroom. There he looked in the mirror and almost gasped. His eyes had slits for pupils, and that's not all. All of the errors in his skin and bone structure seemed to have melted away in those three days, leaving perfect body in the wake.
He walked at his normal pace, but it was much faster than he remembered, for he was by Aubrey in half a moment.
"What's the norm to drink?" he asked, a smile playing at his lips. He wasn't about to go massacre the city, but he didn't know if humans were acceptable to eat anymore, either.

"Well, you can hunt humans if you'd like or you can hunt animals." Aubrey wouldn't force him to hunt humans just because she did. She laughed and watched him with an excited sparkle in her eyes. "You have to make that decision for yourself."
She looked him over, impressed with the results. He still carried the presence that left her in awe of him. That made her happy. She situated herself on his bed as he explored his newness.
Aubrey hadn't discussed the coven with him. She wasn't sure that he would want to join, but if he did she would have to take him to Xavier for the decision. Aubrey wasn't allowed to create any members anymore. Not after Shaden. She looked away and sighed sadly.
Aubrey was lost in herself for a moment. Thinking of him made her sad. She pulled herself away from the pain and looked back up at Blake. She smiled at him. He was too adorable, how could she not look at him and be happy. "What would you like to do first-after you feed."

Blake heard the options, and considered them. "My victims will be human." he decided.
Aubrey sighed and looked sad, but perked up only a moment later. But Blake wasn't fooled. He knew people and how they worked. Something was wrong. "What's bothering you, Aubrey?" he asked softly, wrapping his arms around her. I know you're upset right now. I want to help you."

Aubrey stood and walked over to Blake. She smiled. This time it was real. Blake was already very in tune with her emotions. She traced his face fondly. "Don't worry about it love. When you start living your eternity you'll see that alot of things happen that make you upset."
She laughed lightly. Upset. It had done more than made her upset. Turning Shaden away had broke her heart. But it was something that had to e done. She wasn't able to be what he needed her to be. She wasn't ale to be what he deserved.
It was all going to work itself out. In the long run it was going to be okay, right now it just hurt.
She nodded at Blake. "Alright love, human it is." She grinned flashing her fangs at him. "Get ready and I will take you to feed...and then you can pick what we do afterward."

Blake took her hand and looked into her eyes. He could feel it. He could feel her sorrow and her hurt. It wasn't anything new to him, to feel that sort of thing. But what was new was that he wanted to change these feelings. He wanted her to be joyful, not wallowing in woe. This only made his happiness shine brighter and glow with a warm tone, sending out the sparks of his feelings for Aubrey to her.
Blake looked around the room. He didn't think he'd need anything, when he spotted his prayer beads. Of course, how could he have forgotten? Blake shuffled to his dresser where he picked the beads from their resting place and put them in his pocket. He turned back to Aubrey. "Hobey ho, lets go."

Aubrey laughed and slid from his bed. She held her arm out to him and escorted him from the bedroom and out of the apartment.
Aubrey breathed the cool night in. It was a lovely night and that made her happy. "Blake, do I need to tell you what to do...or do you think you can figure it out?" Hopefully he would be able to do it himself. She had gotten it right on her first try and it would impress her if he did as well.

Blake was taken outside, where the temperature... didn't change. He supposed this was one of the effects of being a vampire. An effect that he could take advantage of. "I can do it myself." Blake said confidently
Blake observed the people bustling about. A woman, ridiculing her child for running too far ahead from her. A boy buying a hot dog from a stand. A shop-keeper closing up. A couple holding hands as they walked down the street. A man chasing after his dog who had pulled free from his collar. Blake pointed to this man."There's dinner. Just follow me."
Blake lead Aubrey up the street a few buildings over, and slid into an alley. The dog was coming up the block, about to turn the street corner. When the canine had just about reached the alley, Blake made a sound, perfectly imitating a cat. The dog perked its ears and dashed toward Blake and Aubrey, searching for the imaginary feline. Blake pet the dog and calmed it down.
The dog's master came huffing and puffing to the corner, and Blake called out, "Excuse me, mister, but is this your dog?" He pointed to the animal that was now laying down, waiting to be told what to do.
"Why yes, it is. Thank you so much for holding him for me. He's caused a lot of trouble, you see, and -" The man walked into the alley, expecting to have his dog handed over.
But he was quite wrong. As soon as he had taken three steps into the area, Blake was on him in a moment, and with one extension of his arm, Blake had ripped out his heart. If Blake had hit his head, it would have been an instant death. But it wasn't.
Blake caught the man by the neck before he fell, twitching like a fish with its head chopped off. The man would be dead within a minute or two. Blake then gouged out his eyes with his claws, the muscles attached to the back of the sockets stretched and ripped, and so both blood and eye fluids streamed from the hollows like tears. The man was dead now, staring into oblivion without sight.
"I bring my OWN brand of justice; swift death to evil." Blake drew out his prayer beads and wrapped them around his hands in a silent prayer for the dead man. He didn't want to be drinking cursed blood, not that it made much of a difference. Blake devoured the heart and looked back toward Aubrey, a twisted smile spreading across his lips. "You have no idea how long I've yearned to do that."

Aubrey remained very still and watched him very carefully. This was an unexpected surprise. Blake didn't have to kill his victim to feed from them, but he did. He killed him in a twisted sadistic way. She smiled. Xavier might like this one after all.
She slinked over to him and placed her hand on his shoulder, looking down at the lifeless man. "Well, you sure seemed to enjoy yourself." Her smile quirked into a grin.
She squatted down and motioned for the dog. It trotted over and sat at her feet. She scratched behind his ears. "What should we do with your new little friend here?"

Blake licked the last of the blood off his fingers as Aubrey examined the dead man. He then considered the dog as Aubrey pet him. He wasn't a stupid animal - Blake could see it in his eyes. He knew his master was dead. But he obviously hadn't liked his master very much, because he didn't seem to care.
Blake bent down over the dog and looked for his tag. "I don't have a problem with killing humans, but I'm not a merciless murderer. I won't kill an animal." He found the tag and read the address imprinted on the smooth metal. "He lives not far from here. He'll find his way back."
Blake stood back up and glanced at the alley's entrance. No one had noticed. Yet. "We should leave. Pretty soon someone's bound to notice. Either his dead body will be found... or his "living" one will be missing."

Aubrey smiled and kissed the dogs nose. She wouldn't have let Blake kill it if he had wanted to. "Go home little guy." She patted the dogs side and watched his trot off. She looked at the lifeless body again and sighed.
She stood and grabbed Blake's arm leading him down the alley. They emerged on the other side and began walking briskly down the street. She turned at laughed at him. He would get over the fear of people finding his victims. They were always found, one way or another.
"So my little fortune teller. What would you like to do now?" [/b]

Blake was lead away from the body and to another street. He almost protested about leaving it, but he realized that wanting to get rid of all his victims properly was out of the question. There would be too many of them.
"That is a good question. There seems to be too many things to do. Where to start is the question. What would you recommend?"
