Kaden grinned at Chloe. "I promise you, I am most anxious for both." He would have said more, but Xavier was suddenly there. Kade nodded toward him and raised his wine glass. "It's an honor." Kade stiffened as Aubrey stalked onto the balcony. Her anger was obvious. He eyed Xavier cautiously.
He tried o look indifferent as Aubrey was saying her goodbyes. He understood her anger, but he had hoped she would have better control over herself. This was all hanging by a delicate thread to begin with. She didn't need to rock the boat.
As she walked away he could tell that her mood had softened. He knew where she was going. "Excuse me." He slipped away and followed Aubrey. He gently grabbed her arm and pulled her to him. He held her as if they were dancing. He pressed his cheek against the side of her face. He whispered softly into her ear.
"Aubrey, love...Don't leave just yet. Stay longer. I need you here for a while." Kade smiled at her and tilted her chin up to look at him. Her eyes were solid, but he could feel her emotions. He sighed. "He'll be fine Aubrey. Give me an hour." His emphasis on me would be what convinced her. He released her and held his arm out. "Allow me to escort you back."
His eyes fell on a man just making his entrance. He didn't know him, but at the same time. "I'm taking it that that man in Jacob?" He nodded in Jacob's direction. There was something about him that made Kade pause. There was so many emotions tied up in his being. Kade inhaled deeply. This was all rather fascinating.

As Jacob slowly waltzed into the room, Xavier couldn't help but smile. His new prodigy brought a power that was ever-flowing and densely powerful. With a snap of Xavier's finger, and a sharp, stern look on his face, the room went dead quite. He sighed deeply and placed his glass down walking towards Jacob. As his dress shoes clapped against the hard wooden floors, he smiled as he kept the only sound in the room in his head.
I have been studying Human emotions for some time. Never have I understood the reason or purpose for the concept of Love. Humans were placed on this planet to reproduce and take use of the natural resources to their benefit. Emotions..are nothing more than Fabrications of the feeble human intellect trying desperately to justify and create a social atmosphere in which they mentally feel they are needed. I have since abandoned traits such as these to an extent. I cannot completely dispose of my Human psyche and physical human traits, No matter how much of a virus i think it is...But out of every thing humans try to do...I can keep a promise.
Suddenly, the door opened and Jacobs long lost lover walked in, wearing a dark dress and jewels to accommodate her gorgeously crafted face. It had taken Xavier alot to contact sources that could bring her back to life. The only reason it had been possible is because of the fact that she had only been dead a few years and the restoration period was rather quick. Xavier walked over to her and softly kissed her hand and walked her to Jacob, she was exactly the same, he knew everything about her because that was the main thing flowing in Jacobs blood at the time he bit him...
I give you Destiny, however much it is worth...

Jacob's eyes had nothing in sight but the figure, the ghost from the past, who had manifested in physical form. Her pale skin, her nearly divine features, her eyes that signified the future and the love they had towards one another. For some reason Jacob couldn't register this outcome. It couldn't have been real? Every fiber of his being rejected these circumstances except his heart. His heart, a substance he barely could tell was beating anymore, had finally been at ease. It no longer functioned with pain as if his blood had been fused with poison. She was here, or there, the person whom Jacob became a vampire for, and perhaps the sole reason for her existence.
He felt his feet sprint towards her with an alarming speed only for Jacob to wrap her arms around her with a tight grip, trying to remind himself how she touched. Her skin was foreign yet the same. Her scent still had those remnants of death and decay infused with it but still retained its fragrant beauty, it still contained that wonderful nostalgia that brought the two together from day one. Jacob Pierre had found his lover at long last. He looked at her and then, before words uttered, planted a kiss and everything around him faded into the background where only the two existed, only the two.

Aubrey took Kades arm and watched Jacob. Aubrey always thought he was rather odd. There was always something distant and pained in his eyes. If she didn't dislike him so much she might feel sorry for him.
There was a brief change in the room. Something was happening. She felt cold and almost distant for just a fleeting moment. She didn't like it. She disliked Xaviers voice echoing in her head even more. It was hard to ignore his words when they were surrounding her. She scoffed. Xavier didn't know how to have any tender emotion.
She was only slightly surprised when he presented Jacobs dead lover. Of course he would keep promises to everyone but her. It was hard to stay angry when she seen how absorbed Jacob was with her. She smiled. Something tugged at her heart. She wanted desperately to leave now but Kaden was slowly leading her to Xavier.
She snatched another wine glass on her way. She stood before Xavier. His accomplished look made her sick. "Kade love, won't you go keep Chloe company?" She watched him walkaway. He wouldn't disobey her. "More gifts Xavier? And a gift of love at that. How very generous of you." She turned away from him. She wouldn't let him see the steely grey seeping into her eyes. Her voice became soft yet still firm and slightly distant. "It's not worth anything to you though, is it Xavier?"

Chloe followed Aubrey and kade back into the ballroom. Where she was met with a slight surprise at seeing Jacob. She had felt him coming closer but wasn't really paying enough attention to know when he was here. She walked over and stood on the other side of Aubrey. She couldn't help but roll her eyes when Xavier presented Destiny. 'So that was the girl he promised poor Jacob with to join.' She thought while watching him closely.
She sighed softly. It was such a waste. Why would someone join over something so simple as love. It just didn't make much sense to her.
There was a time when Chloe would have understood. Would have given everything for the foolish emotion. But those days were long gone. Of course she still felt lust, which was completely different.
"How very kind of you Xavier." She whispered before turning away again. She could feel each of their emotions. Their own power. It was driving her insane. Yet at the same time it was so invigorating. She could just feel everything building up within her being. Waiting to be let out like some animal locked in a cage.
Chloe needed to find a way to let out the energy. The animal inside her. And soon. It wasn't safe to keep things locked up for that long. She took another sip of her win before setting it down on the table.

Shaden paused as he stood outside the ballroom. He knew they could feel him but if he left now he wouldn't have to talk with Xavier. But then he would miss that wonderful look in his smug face when he walked in so calmly. He held back a laugh. Oh this night was going to be something else.
For once Shaden had brushed his hair down, so it was no longer spiked. He felt weird in his black pants and blazer. He felt like he was trying to dress like Massimo. He hated it. Which was just one more reason to just turn around and go home.
He sighed. He couldn't go home now. Not when he was already here. Besides he could handle this for at least a little while.
Shaden nodded to himself. Then walked into the ballroom. He was sure most of them would be surprise by his being here. He wondered if Xavier even knew of him being made a member. He hoped not. He wanted to see the look of pure surprise and hatred. Plus he just wanted to see Aubrey.
Shaden held back a smirk and stood waiting for everyones reaction. Mainly Xavier's of course. He caught eye contact with Aubrey smiled at her. Then went about looking at everyone else. His blue eyes stopped on Kade for a moment before his gaze turned once more to Xavier.
"Nice to see you Xavier." He said calmly. He walked over to stand half way between Aubrey and him.

Kaden took in a great breath and held it. Shaden's appearance was one that Aubrey and himself had not intended upon. It made the night more interesting. At least now Aubrey would have a reason to stay. A sly smile edged the corners of his lips and he nodded to Shaden.
"I would love to Aubrey." He had ignored her question at first, seeing the expressions that Shaden's presence would bring was too great to pass up, but he would. He turned and made his way to Chloe.
The things he felt radiating from her were amazing. How quaint was it to be close to some many people in such an intimate manor. To be able to feel their emotions, hear their thoughts, share such a compelling bond. It was almost like painting a nude portrait. There was so much intimacy involved, but they came with limits.
He watched Chloe's expression carefully. He grinned sensing her frustration. "A woman as lovely as you Chloe should never have to look so troubled."

After the two interlocked lips, a gesture so rich and enchanting in form that it was as if the two exchanged of their souls while doing so, Jacob made his way towards Xavier with Destiny clinging tightly on his hand. The two didn't speak words, there didn't need any words to be spoken. Truth was after Destiny died he still couldn't get her to silence. He heard her through memories, through their dreams when he slept, even when awake and he was fully aware Destiny's voice haunted the confines of his thoughts. No, just being in her presence spoke enough volumes.
He walked past several of these people. People who, for some reason, he hadn't taken the time to notice until now. He remembered Aubrey and Chloe from their last meeting, their faces stapled onto his mind so he would never forget them. He darted their eyes that way. He didn't know whether they noticed him or not but he continued staring a them. One of them who had a problem with Xavier, a problem which Jacob never truly understood. The only thing he needed to know was that she had been some sort of enemy of Xavier's, and to repay the man who resurrected his beloved, he'd protect him at all costs. But now came the question he had to ask himself...what now was the purpose of being in this black coven?
His beloved had been restored, his love fulfilled, his heart found in the hands of Destiny. Was he in it for pure loyalty? Would Destiny understand? Jacob cared less about domination, or reclaiming some ancient throne brought about by thousands of vampires years ago. Perhaps it was the thrill that compelled him to remain with the coven, but now that Destiny was resurrected, even that thrill seemed to have faded. Still, Xavier taught him everything he knew and bettered him as, not only a vampire, but a warrior of darkness. The least he could do in return was serve he covenant for however long he could, as long as Destiny would be out of harm's way. Bearing the thought of losing her again was bearing another nightmare that wouldn't end.
He walked towards Xavier, casting a very quick glance at Shaden, a man who knew little about, less than in fact he knew of Aubrey and Chloe. The only thing he could surmise about Shaden was that he could've been a bit cocky and arrogant, or perhaps that could've simply been a confidence that most vampires would vie to have. In any the case, even that analysis could've been wrong.
Snapping out of his gaze, he returned to Xavier, feeling a great gratification, but an even equal amount of bafflement clogging his thoughts.
"What now?"
Those words, Jacob knew, and Xavier possibly already figured out, were far more questions disguised as one.

Aubrey's entire aura brightened when Shaden glanced at her. She reached out and took his hand. She kissed his knuckles, just as she had greeted Kade. The adoration that radiated off of her for Shaden wasn't fake. She felt brighter, somehow.
She glanced at Jacob and his long lost love. She smiled at him and then at Destiny. She wondered if Xavier would have the woman belong to the coven. Aubrey sighed softly. "Now, we should celebrate." She purposely interrupted Xavier. She was not in the mood for his arrogant tantrum that was no doubt on it's way. She raised her wine glass. "A toast to you Jacob and your to your lady."
Her gaze fell onto Xavier. "And to you Xavier. And the promises that you choose to keep." Her eyes watched him carefully as she sipped from her glass. She turned back toward Jacob. "Jacob Darling, I'm sure that you remember Shaden. Kade is there with Chloe. They are the newest addition to our happy little family." She smiled as she leaned closer to Shaden. She was more than happy now that Shaden was here.
