Maika thought about Emberr's response. She had seemed so wise. Could she really forgive and forget? She knew that Gary was worth his flaws. Faith was a good friend too, and she couldn't have decided if she wanted a baby or not.
"Yes," she said quietly, "he is worth his flaws. Thank you," she dared not hug Emberr, in case she didn't want to be, instead, she decided to give a playful smile in her direction, "Want to go spy on the boys?"

"One more thing Emberr... Can we not tell Gary or Poison this is what we talked about?"

"Your welcome. I've had a lot of experience in my 42 years." Emberr laughed knowing she was young. "Oh, sounds like fun. Besides, I want to see how Poison is doing...he usually cheats to convince people, but I don't think he'll cheat this time." Emberr grabbed Maika's hand and ran behind a some bushes closer to the boys in her graceful, silent way. She grinned wickedly at the look on Poison's face, he looked so concentrated. It was unlike him, he was usually so laid back.

"Of course I won't tell them," Emberr replied quickly. "Posion doesn't need to know how I feel about this type of stuff." She smiled submissively.

"Thank you," she said, relieved. She blinked her eyes a few times and listened intently. She heard Gary say the word marriage a few times and love once and then cheated. This conversation was so confusing, it was baffling her. Did guys like talk with their eyebrows or something instead of using coherant words?

Emberr laughed quietly at Maika's reaction to their conversation. Then she leaned closer, "Don't worry, I understand guys pretty well, I can understand their conversation, it's like ours...except less deep. And of course, it's from the cheater's view point. I think Poison is explaining what he did. And then Gary suggested something I didn't quite get." she whispered into Maika's ear, a voice so low no one-not even a vampire- would here it, but Maika. Emberr leaned a bit closer into the bushes and held her breath when Poison glanced in her direction. Thankfully, he didn't notice her and kept talking in a low voice, it hinted that he was trying very hard not to cheat at making Gary accept everything he said. "Did you understand what Gary suggested to Poison? You'd be able to make out his words better then me." She leaned back so she wouldn't make Poison look over again, he would only go so long without noticing her scent everywhere.

She was able to decipher some of it. It sounded like he was suggesting something to Poison, like Emberr said. She leaned close to Emberr, using a slightly different technique for not hearing. Maika's voice went at a high pitched but quiet level. She explained to Emberr that guys didn't pay very much attention to high pitched sound, not observant enough. A smell made her stop. Emberr smelled like her favorite shampoo, strawberries and cream, sweet but also smoothie smelling.
"He was asking Poison about how to not screw things up with girls because his reasoning is that he's smart about them...since he has you. You smell good by the way, like my favorite shampoo, strawberries and cream," Maika giggled and turnedd her head back to the guys. They were close too, talking about both of them, about their pasts, future, and present. She heard a few of Gary's goals but none of Poison's he hid his well.

"Oh." Emberr replied, "And thank you." Emberr said through a laugh. "Oh wow, Poison had an interesting reply. He is such a guy." She rolled her eyes dramatically. "Hmm, ahh there's a reasonable reply, 'don't mess with their feelings and if you make a mistake prove to her you love her and just ask to be forgived, be sincere' so sweet." Emberr said moving behind another bush pulling Maika with her, but staying just as close. "Don't want him to find me." she said with a sly smile.

She grimaced at Poison, he was being uncooperative. He wouldn't say exactly what he was doing, just said something vague only a genius could understand. Her grimace became even more defined when it looked like Gary understood. Then she understood he was only avoiding words that would make her understand. He was talking differently then he did to her; he knew her to well, he thought she be snooping. She sighed it wasn't fair.

Maika laughed too, Gary was making a funny face because he was concentarting, he was cute when he concentrated. She understood parts of it that were truly genius but now, she couldn't understand it again. Liek some guy talk gone wild that only they could understand. She stifled her laughter, Gary knew it too well. She decided she would like being married to Gary, oxygen or no oxygen he always managed to sweep gravity away from her feet. She considered waiting until they finished popping to sneak back to the shadows and walk up to them, jump into Gary's arms and kiss him for his answers to Poison's questions.

Emberr seriously frustrated now crouched closer to the bush getting ready to pounce out onto Poison playfully. She looked at Maika with adventure burning in her eyes. She could tell Maika wasn't getting anything from the conversation either. She sprand out from the bush and hissed at Poison. He caught her quickly and growled at her in the same playful tone. She glared at him, and stuck her tongue out immaturely.

"You weren't supposed to catch me," she teased, "You were supposed to be surprised." She showed her fangs to him and brought them up to his neck in fakely threatening.

"Sorry," Poison replied, "I'll just drop you then." Emberr wrapped her arms around his neck and clinged to him. "Kidding, gosh. You really think I'd drop you?" he leaned down kissed beneath her jaw.

"Your such a guy," she complained sarcastically.
"Well, you are straight so I thought you'd want a guy," Poison sneered. She rolled her eyes and kissed his neck.

Maika saw Emberr leap out of the bushes and Poison catch her. They were adorable together. She wondered if she and Gary were like that when they whispered to each other about roses. Right now she was thinking about people's smells. She knew Gary's and Faith's and Emberr's but never wondered about her own before.

While she was thinking about this she gently rose from the bushes and did her sinuous walk to Gary. He stared at her hips, rocking smoothly side to side in her tight outfit. She grasped Gary's fingertips and looked at him soulfully, "Marry me?"

He gasped, pretending to be shocked, "Of course dearest...Kaki."
"Ya know hon...I neeeeeeeed a new nickname, too chockfull of memories, let's start out fresh," she held out her hand in a welcoming gesture, "Hello fiance, I'm Maika, and you must be....," this threw Gary into a fit of laughter and once he calmed down she nuzzled her neck under his chin and kissed his throat, lightly.

He made a bold move and kissed her neck, right where she had been bitten. Maika looked at Emberr warily but hugged Gary tightly after focusing her vision back on him. He let out a sigh of relief and addressed Emberr.

"Well...you two.. where are you headed now? We've all met, gone through hard times in one night, and the sun is nearing the horizon. If we all don;t want to die....What shall we do?"

Emberr tried to move out of Poison's arm and stand up normally, but Poison just laughed and pulled her tighter when Emberr glared at him.

"Well," she said hesitantly, "I would like to talk to you to more. If you don't mind you could come to my house? It's pretty big, but I think I could get you guys to know where everything is. And we could always go travel again later, we just need to get out of the sun." Then she smiled happily at Poison.

"Remember that big house I liked last time we came here?" Poison gasped when she said that. "It's mine now." She smiled radiantly and her happiness spread to everyone around her. Poison let her stand up now, but kept his arm around her waist so they could start walking as soon as Gary and Maika replied. Emberr knew bringing them to her house, was usually closer than she got to people, but there was something about these two she liked.

She was a bit impatient waiting for their response watching the sun rise and slowly get closer to spreading it's light everywhere. Emberr smiled at Maika hoping she accept the offer, since apparently they knew eachother before. She wanted to know if Maika know aything about her, but mostly she just wanted to catch up with everyone and learn more about them.

Maika gasped happily. "Oh my god really?!! I mean..," straightening herself out and putting a fake seriousness abotu her, "That would be lovely Emberr," she laughed at herself.
